Chris Ballard said they want to do everything to prevent a setback . . . after Andrew Luck had one. If that was their thinking when Luck was practicing, why was he allowed to do any throwing a couple weeks ago?
Who care what he said after he got setback. It doesn't matter..people will say what they are suppose to say. . And you havnt learned your lesson have you?? It doesn't matter what people say. The fact that he took so long just to get to a practice wasn't a good sign. Just like when he couldn't get though a practice. Most people knew all along he wouldn't play again this year. You are too superficial and can't think a little deeper

Absolutely.

Arguably,  their smartest move in several seasons.

Even if Andrew Luck came back and somehow played like Sammy Baugh on his best day,  the Colts weren't coming close to the Super Bowl this season.

The Colts did not even have a chance of winning the division. They had already lost Malik Hooker during our game when he suffered two torn knee ligaments.

They didn't have a chance? So now you believe you can be out of the playoffs before your mathematically eliminated?

They had "A" chance... just not very likely.

You should be careful when speaking in absolutes. Especially when you like to try and correct everyone else when they are wrong.
No one has been mathematically eliminated yet.

Not officially, but if anyone told you the Browns, 49ers, Giants, Cardinals, or Colts are playoff contenders, you would think he is drunk.

Don't tell me what I would think.

Technically, anyone has a chance right now, even if the slimmest of chances.

I'm not sure at this time how the season for Jacksonville and Tennessee will turn out.  But with Andrew Luck at his best,  I wouldn't have automatically eliminated the Colts from the AFC South Race.  They very likely but not definitely wouldn't have been able to get out of the hole they are in.

It was a long time ago. But I recall from my youth the Bengals winning the AFC Central Title with an 8-6 record after a 1-6 start.

the 92 Chargers started 0-4 and ended up 11-5.
the 95 Lions started 0-3, stumbled to 3-6, and finished 10-6.
the 98 Bills also started 0-3, though they got it together mid season and finished 10-6.

Not to mention...

the 2010 Seahawks... who went to the postseason with a losing record.

Idk..watch them pick in the top 5 and trade their pick to a desperate QB team and get a boat load of picks in exchange. I'm hoping that what the 49ers did in trading for Garrappolo that most of the league doesn't view any of the up coming guys as franchise people so no one will really offer much for the Colts pick
