This tweet nailed it.

@RealMBB Gus on Babich: “I’m not sure why we didn’t blitz more?”

Gus on Olson: “I’m not sure why we didn’t run more?”

You are in charge. #Jaguars

How does a HC get to blame the people that do what he says?  You're coach, LEAD!

This is a miserable leadership/management fail on Caldwell/Khan to not fire a HC who has no idea what they're doing and has no concept of accountability.

Quote:Can you imagine how [BAD WORD REMOVED] Marrone is right now? You know he probably thought he would get an interim gig the 2nd half of the season which could have lead to another HC opportunity somewhere else. Instead he will continue to rot away under Gus.

Maybe he should spend some of that energy coaching the O-Line to run block? Marrone and most of the offensive staff very well could have been sent packing right along with Olson and it would've been well deserved. If anything he dodged a bullet.

It'll be pretty clear by halftime Sunday on who the blame should fall on.  Can't imagine the players playing much differently effort/energy wise.  Somewhere Olson will be giving the Henne face towards his firing.

Taking it to the top of the Modis building.

Quote:Khan just wants to be a man of his word.

"No change mid-season" means no change mid season.

He'll be gone at years end. And the entire staff will be replaced, imo.

Caldwell likely keeps his job. While he hasn't been perfect he's still done a pretty good job acquiring talent.
I agree.  Instead of beating a dead horse maybe it's time to relax as fans and see what happens.
