NFL Attendance

I mentioned this in the other thread, but the total capacity since the Assure club renovation is 67,174. For Jags games, tarps in the outer upper deck west side reduces it to 64,428. At one point after the bud zone was added, capacity was as much as 77,000, clearly too large for this market.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

Since the NFL has been turning into a political stage all teams have suffered from attendance issues. If you take conscious notice when a game is on TV look at the seats and you can just about estimate that the stadium is probably only like 60% full. That doesn't reflect ticket sales but goes to show you that the political drama has no place in sports and players need to be held accountable and be professionals.
No pain, no gain.

They are tripling down and just extended Roger to lead them through the next contract negotiation. I can't stand Jerry Jones overall but he is right on part of his anti-roger campaign. When you look at the boys club Roger and family are associated with it is no wonder they have injected some much politics into the sport. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Goodell Only place he has ever been is the NFL Offices From intern to COO EDIT: I will say it is a sweet gig that I would gladly switch places with him.

Another factor this year is the teams coming in, the only really attractive team is Seattle; the Rams, Chargers and Bengals are pretty meh. Next year brings the Patriots, Eagles, Redskins, Jets and possibly the Steelers (it will be the AFC North team finishing in the same spot we do, likely Pittsburgh or Baltimore)...a much more attractive group. One will be sent to London- although a division game, I'd be most happy seeing the Indianapolis game go there.
