So because the team sucks we are gonna move? Why havent the Browns moved from Clev yet?
Khan has invested a lot of money in the city of Jacksonville, he's not moving he likes his money

Quote:This fan base is awesome, the team is awful! 1000% This^ How anyone can call this fanbase awful is just oblivious. We've stuck with this [BLEEP] awful team for god knows how long under inept [BLEEP] coaches, DOZENS of dumb [BLEEP] no talent hack players, a change in ownership that caused so much uncertainty that half of us thought we'd be watching the games at 10am instead of 1pm, just a total cluster of [BLEEP].. And yet we're still here, asking for another kick in the teeth.. Fanbase is awful.. What a [BLEEP] statement..

This fan base has stuck through so much BS over the past 10 years and the fact that we're even still on this message board arguing about it goes to show you that we're still here. If you look at past relocations there's almost an established playbook for how to move a team. It starts with an old stadium with low revenue streams. Then the owner starts demanding small concessions from the local government in terms of revenue, it might be that they get to keep the revenue from luxury boxes or that the city pays for all maintenance. Then he demands get bigger and bigger with ever increasing renovations and expenses. Then they start demanding a new stadium. When the city says no at one point during this whole process the owner then threatens to move the team and if he keeps getting no he does it. Bonus points if they pull Kroenke where they complain about the stadium but make zero effort to work with the city on improving or replacing it.
None of this has happened in Jacksonville. There have been stadium improvements for sure but Khan has paid for them equally with the city and the city pays for them with money already allocated to the stadium. Khan is working with the city to improve the stadium and has never used the threat of relocation to make demands.

Well they obviously decreased funding towards the servers and this website so is that relevant to moving to London? Illuminati.
Quote:Putting a team in London full time would cause a massive financial bleed on the league. why though? right now there is a game in London almost weekly... so there's not much difference from what's going on now, to having a team reside there

He know's the city and stadium aren't going to be issues, so this could be his way... it is literally the only thing that makes any sense as to why he seems so tolerant of losing We show less advertisements to registered users. Quote:So because they are having a bad year we are going to jump to the conclusion this was a master plan to move them to London? A bad year?!??! Where have you been? Khan is (16-55). The St Louis Rams owner put LOTS of money into St. Louis right before he left for LA. That's what intelligent businessmen do. Khan is a globalist. He wants to be in London over small market Jacksonville.....its obvious.

Khan is a globalist. He wants to be in London over small market Jacksonville.....its obvious.Really? The guy that refused to talk to the city about improving the stadium and renegotiating the lease put loads of money into St. Louis? Kroenke sabotaged that franchise from the start to get it into the #2 TV market in the US. Khan has done nothing of the sort.
Exactly, instead of saying the fan base is awful, I should have said some of the fan base is awful.
That guy has poured millions of his own money into the stadium, developed the area, and has even more in mind for the surrounding area. Does he have a solid vision for the future and the area? Yes....is he working on the team? Yes...is it perfect? No. We went from having high hopes before the year and not moving the team to having a downer of a year and talking about freaking moving to London. You don't realize how stupid that sounds? spacoastjag, I am not shocked you see it that way...the stupid takes that you have over and over on this site have prepped me for it. There are some rational people here that are actually believing this garbage.
Quote:I don't see how it's logistically possible to put any team in Europe on a full time basis. Main reason being the travel for both teams. But who the hell knows. and wait until some 1st round pick ( top 1 or 2 player ) says that he will not play for a team in London that he will pull an Elway and go play baseball or go back to college for another year. Not going to good for the NFL when that happens. Cannot imagine many players especially who would go there to play. Maybe some guys who cannot make it elsewhere for sure but top guys are going to pick the big cities in the USA. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

spacecoast, you think Bortles is playing well this year. Please don't say others are oblivious.
2020 London franchise is Goodell's target date right when the Jaguars "London contract tryout period" ends.......
http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/roger-...franchise/ Khan is moving this franchise. He's investing in the city of Jacksonville for ONE reason and ONE reason only.....to show Goodell how serious Khan is. London games are 1.8x the revenue and 20x more merchandise. It's a done deal. Money talks. |
