All Pro List

#21

Love that telvin got on the list! Would have put him ahead of Bobby Wagner tbh, but I get it. Awesome that we have so many on the list. Too bad our offense personnel is nowhere near to be on the list lol

It is interesting because Jurko was UPI 2nd Team. I would need to go back and look at each entry for AP 1st or 2nd team to make the counts match the announcement for the current team.

What is this list?   Posluzny?   I wasn't aware that Poz was ever an All-Pro.  I think you've combined a lot of lists together here.  The official All-Pro team is the AP All Pro team.

I’m guessing the thinking is Bouye doesn’t get those numbers unless teams are just avoiding Ramsey altogether. Honestly they both should be first team but they aren’t gonna do that

You're probably right that they gave Ramsey some of the credit for Bouye's success.

Per PFF...

1. ) Bouye had the lowest QB rating against a cornerback, beating Asante Samuel, Darrelle Revis, and Charles Woodson's best seasons.
2. ) Third lowest catch percentage allowed in 2017
3. )  Second best passer rating while in coverage since 2006

Just some stats that I thought was interesting.

And these numbers are why I say he should be first team with Ramsey. The numbers he put up were insane.

Your posts will be on twitter soon. If TMD still had an account you would never hear the end of this, lol.

I am especially happy for Telvin, he got the recognition that he deserves. Looking at the D we have its crazy to think you could make reasonable arguments that some of our guys like Yannick Ngakoue got snubbed (at least for probowl etc). I hope we get at least a few years before this gets broken up.

I thought it was someone else. Then again, I have chemo brain, and am lucky to remember 15 minutes ago. Cry

Ha! I just remembered. I remembered it being Quinten Moses.

As I put in my post, that was sportswriter awards and included more than the AP All-Pro.  Apparently UPI, SI and Other outlets have had these announcements for 1st and 2nd team as well.  It took time to put together that list as it was.  I would have needed to recomb the list for AP only.  The site didn't make it easy on me.  I was just providing some perspective when someone asked if we had more than 2 first teamers in the past.

Bouye should have easily made the first ALL PRO team! Him and Ramsey are both just as good as the other.

Campbell was a great signing. Jackson could have made this list. That's debatable.

Telvin fits on the 2nd AP team. Myles Jack is gonna be our next stud.

Glad these guys are getting some pub.

It is kinda silly all the guys who made both 1st and 2nd team all pro, Rhodes, Campbell, Cooper, Bell.

There are a bunch of guys we put on 1st team with our bad play though Cooper, Zuerlein, and Byard no chance at all pro without their big games vs Jags.

I wonder if he's still pumping O'Brien and Mallet as the great coach/qb duo that will leave the jags basement dwellers forever

Mad Dog was absolutely correct on Calais.
Respect the game.  Play with a sense of urgency.

1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.

Learn from the great collapse of 2023.
