Quote:I heard mention on the radio that Bortles was on pace for another 4000 yard season and that he is ahead of last year's pace after the same amount of games...  Bortles was far from "great" last year.

Bortles will become great when he leaves Jacksonville for a good market like NY Jets. Remember this post......it WILL happen. (From agent).

Look, I'll keep defending Blake to anyone because I think he showed enough last year to show he CAN be very good. I think this coaching staff not encouraging his physical development as a QB and even the development of the rest of the roster is the problem. Blake even said no one has mentioned mechanics to him. That's a red flag on the coaching staff right there. You're telling me the QB coach hasn't said a word about it?

Give him a real staff that knows how to develop players and he'll surpass last year's play by far. As I've said before, I can't possibly write off a kid who just turned 24
IT WAS ALWAYS THE JAGS

But wait, you told me that he was 'the future of Jacksonville' and that I was a stick in the mud.  You can't even keep you stories straight.

Quote:Peyton Manning had 100 INTs his first 5 years. It didn't click for him until YEAR 6.

So why were the Colts (10-6) every year? Well, they had a top 5 running game in Edgerrin James, a top 12 defense, and Tony Dungy.

Look what the Jags have......NOTHING.

And Khan keeps Gus Bradley. This franchise is the worst run franchise in the NFL. It's not even close.

Dude. You're so hard to have a conversation with. You keep regurgitating the same crap. Let me say this again. NOBODY HAS DENIED WE DON'T HAVE A BAD TEAM. This whole board will attest to that. We suck. Plain and simple. What we are saying that you are having SUCH a hard time comprehending, is that Bortles sucks too. I know that must be hard to accept. I know went to UCF. I know you have friends of a friend that saw him at Wal-Mart one time. I know you have crappy scouts in your family. But he sucks this year. Everyone knows that. Do we want him to keep sucking? No. Do we hope he can get better? Yes. But the fact still remains that he sucks. Team aside, he sucks. His mechanics are terrible. His decision making is terrible. His throws are terribly inaccurate. All of that is personal stuff.

I have seen you criticize our receivers for not getting separation and dropping passes. You're right. Some of our receivers seemed to have regressed this year too. See how that works? I can easily say who sucks and who doesn't. You can't. You're obsessed with Bortles and it's borderline scary. If I were him I would never talk to someone like you for fear of winding up in your trunk one day.

I think he lied. He was asked the same exact question like 3 weeks later and said he knows what the issues are he just can't fix them during the season.

Bortles has a better TD-INT ratio than Peyton Manning did after his 5th YEAR. I don't know if you realize that Bortles is 24 years old on the worst team in the NFL. 24 year old QBs don't hit their prime until 27-28. It's hilarious how spoiled Jags fans are with the best QB season in their history last year. QB play isn't the issue on this dreadfully run franchise.

All coaching.

1st down- 1 yard run up the middle

2nd down- horizontal pass to a WR for 2 yards

3rd down and LONG- incomplete

Has happened all season. Awful play calling. ZERO vertical shots down the field. Jags lead NFL in 3rd and longs.

QB play is definitely an issue on a very bad offensive team. I don't see how you can deny that. We have a TERRIBLE offense and he's supposed to be the best player on the team. Not to say other areas around him are bad as well. Running game sucks and receivers are dropping passes. However, more often then not, Bortles is throwing inaccurate passes. And stop with this whole "He's not in his prime yet!!!" crap. Derek Carr has had a MUCH better career and his first couple seasons came on a terrible Oakland team. Their defense is last in the league (before the Jags) and he is still having a great year. Stop with all the excuses and just move on.

space coast jag, you know next to nothing about football and you keep coming here and embarrassing yourself.  It's starting to get really sad.  I know people make jokes about people being related to a player, but honestly, are you related to him?  That is the only reason for you to keep this going.  He is awful, his throwing motion is worse, his accuracy is much worse, his decision making is worse, he locks on to receivers.

Our offense can't stay on the field and it's killing our defense.  You do understand that having an inept offense can affect a defense, right?

We were the #14 OFFENSE IN NFL last year with an age 23 QB.

The issue is coaching and defense.

The coaching has NEVER been good.

The scoring defense has NEVER been good.

The offense WAS good. The QB is 24. It will be up and down, especially with the worst coaching in the NFL.

It's an ineptly run franchise.

I'm honestly starting to wonder if spacecoastjag is Blake Bortles himself.

I know nothing about football? Is that why I know Chris Polian and Bill?

Who do you know? Sega genesis Madden 2006?

While a lot of its coaching, none of it has anything to do with a qb that has regressed a bit.  How could we have been the #14 offense in the NFL with the same coaching staff and look at where we are now with the same players.

You really are a child.

You know Bill and Chris Polian means you know everything about football?  Which team have you parlayed this knowledge into working for?  What you've said in this forum proves everything anyone needs to know.

You're willing to throw a whole roster under the bus except for one guy....you would be an amazing GM.

I don't know, I don't think I've ever seen someone defend someone to such great lengths as him.

In all seriousness though it's really becoming a circus.

And right now our offense sucks more this year than it did last year. All of us had high hopes for this offense this year because of last year. Are you denying that the offense is worse this year? I know what you'll say "But our running game is bad!!"... well... it was last year too and superman Blake was still able to put up the numbers he did. Why not this year? Same coaches. Better offensive line. Why are you denying that our shortfalls on offense this year could be the regression of Blake Bortles?

And please stop telling me crap that happened last year. I don't care. Everyone hating on Bortles is talking about his play this year. Not last.
