An interesting read about Americas Team the Jags

We were dogging our own team and just cracking jokes to keep the depression at bay. Man those were bad times for this franchise. If nothing else this season has brought the buzz back to Jacksonville. Just winning the division would have been a big step in the right direction. Or a playoff berth. We're actually Super Bowl contenders.

Hell, a lot of us were doing the same THIS year.  Remember the Jets loss?  The 49ers game?

haha. Man, I see this every year. The nation ALWAYS roots against the Patriots every year. i remember all of the articles about the Falcons and how everybody wanted them to beat the Patriots, etc, etc......

Happens every year. Hey, just think, your team has the inner buildings to be a force to be reckoned with now. You could be in the same boat after Brady retires and we are no longer relevant.

We are a force to be reckoned with now. Or have you not been paying attention?

And we're working on making the Pats irrelevant as I type this. It would be nice if we're the reason Brady decides to retire after this season, but I don't care about that to be honest.

I say these things as a fan of the Pats by way of my dad who was born and raised in RI and I grew up watching games with him. I didn't become a real fan of football until my 20's which happened to coincide with the Jags coming into the league. They've been my team ever since. As another poster said, two decades of the same team/player/coach is two decades too long. It's time for new blood and we are here to fill that spot.

I too grew up in Mass/R.I. and was a diehard Pats fan. I had lived here for ten years prior to the Jags coming into being and switched allegiances that day and haven't looked back.

I think the Steelers OL is a better OL than the Pats.

But Brady makes such quick decisions and gets rid of the ball so fast, it's tough to sack him.

Nevertheless, we've got to get pressure on him if we are to have a chance to win.

I like the way we match up against their offense-save Gronk.  Maybe if we double him the entire game...

So nice to read that about someone else's team

I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking that.

I have been saying the same thing about the Pittsburg Oline after watching it check our guys for most of the plays.  They have 3 All Pro if I remember the starting line up graphics correctly.  Ben wasn't touched much of the season.  Their skill players are crazy good.  Those 4th down players had our defensive players draped on them like bad suits.  Only one of the plays was  a blown coverage touch down.

Crazy..  I have hope but that can cause heartbreak but that is better than apathy.

I grew up in Jax but I'm in RI now for work and the Pats culture makes me want to puke lol.  I do respect what they've done (esp Brady) but it's time for a new Champ!

I'm sure it was a good article, but stopped reading after the author introduced his political beliefs in the beginning. What a shame.

Yeah, I knew that would turn a lot of people off.   He had a great idea, and kind of ruined it for 39% of the country.
