Quote:thank you. I didnt find it that funny to begin with but its still lingering even after the man is gone.

I don't think anyone found it funny.  I think it was sad, accurate, commentary on the mans coaching style.

Quote:he had a contract that stated that if Ralph Wilson passed, he could opt out of the contract.

without knowing who the new owners could be, or the bills would stay in western new York, I'd opt out too. Plus the bills haven't been managed well under Whaley.

It wasn't just opting out...he still got his money.

Anyone that says they wouldn't walk away in his situation is lying...he got 5 million to sit at home if he wanted or work for that 5 million.

They still make threads about who gene Smith would draft so I think we may have a little while.

If R Lee Ermey knew anything about coaching football, he would be my ideal coach.. I have a feeling that I'm gonna be happy with Marrone..

I love how Marrone said "coach Coughlin". Says a lot about how involved he will be.

To be fair, they call former coaches that who are now TV presenters. Tends to just be a coach thing.

Quote:Hope he is better than he was as an o-line coach. He really never improved the line the time he was coaching them. Hope he doesn't interfere with whoever is the current o-line coach who has to be better than Marrone.

Not quite the welcome party that Gus gave...
But what about phone etiquette? Lol, I loved it tho, especially Coughlin. Really setting the right tone IMO, and not rude at all for that matter.

I just hope we don't end up with another Mularkey moment. I like the message though. You come to work hard and play good football and they'll work hard for you. Bum time is up.

No pain, no gain.

Don't go throwing facts around, this board prefers to rant at ad nasuem no matter the situation. Could the line be better, of course but they were better than most make them out to be. Anyway I like the new tone of the staff in general. This team has under preformed and time to get the ball rolling, GO JAGS!!!!!!
