Personally I just hope Linder makes it outta that game with his legs intact.

Since ya know, the Eagles picked up a WP Man of the Year nomineee and all...

I hear Bennett only goes for paraplegic legs now (easier target).

Another important factor is I will be there and have never seen the Jags lose in person soo

Wow, you guys are really blessed. I have never seen the Jags win in person. And I tried multiple times.

Yes, it's improvement, but it's Blaine Gabbert 2012 level improvement. - Pirkster

He's talking about in the Super Bowl, not this coming year's game in England.

There's no way of knowing of course, but I doubt the 2017 Jags would have won against philly in the SB had they advanced.

Was the Super Bowl even a real game? The NFL admits it called the 2 TD catches by Philly differently than they called similar catches all year. So I guess winning and losing depends on how somebody at NFL-NY feels that particular day.

Did the NFL admit that? Or did a few outlets report it that way? (Sal Palantonio and Mort)

After such reports came out the NFL was quick to issue this statement:
Commissioner Roger Goodell was asked by the Globe’s Ben Volin if the league used the new rule when deciding to uphold Clement’s touchdown reception. Goodell deferred to Al Riveron, NFL senior vice president of officiating, to answer the question.
“No we did not. In order for us to overturn a call, we have to see clearly indisputable evidence,’’ said Riveron. “There was some slight movement, but we didn’t see loss of control, we didn’t see indisputable evidence that he did not have possession of the football.’’

I don't think so. And my biggest reason is coaching. Pederson made several gutsy calls in that game. He was aggressive throughout the playoffs. He showed total confidence in Foles and even when Foles made a few mistakes he remained patient and faithful with him and still kept opening up the playbook for him. When Wentz went down virtually everybody wrote that team off.

And as good as our defense played throughout the year. They really lapsed against Pittsburgh and New England. They were blowing coverage's, giving up huge gains on third downs instead of getting off the field. They didn't get Brady that much at all in that loss either. And offensively we kept getting more and more conservative and that really pissed me off as a fan. It's the end of the year. Lay it all on the line.

Hopefully they learn in 2018.
