Why didn't we trade Taven Bryan?

So you want to trade a 1st round project pick for what? You give up on him now and sell low when they expect him to play at a late 1st round pick level next year.

You are basically saying just trade the whole roster

Great, that means we can expect what?  At least another 50 or so new threads?
Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

What are the winning powerball #s this week?  You're such a master prognosticator, I figured you have some sort of crystal ball to know the future.

Yes, you're trolling, even if you're not smart enough to realize it.

We have fans calling for our first round pick to be traded 9 weeks into the season AND fans calling for Jonny Manziel to come back from the CFL to play QB for us.

Sounds like a losing jags season on here alright.

Agreed, although every time I watch another Goedert TD I think back to the guy I wanted instead of Bryan.

Unless the Jaguars were willing to cut their losses on Taven Bryan, which would have been shocking,  it seems far too early to make conclusions about whether Bryan will live up to his draft billing.  Some Defensive Lineman develop quickly.  With most though, growing pains are the norm.

You're ok, man. Don't be discouraged by those on here who always have something sarcastic to say. If you want to know something, you have to ask.

What gives you the impression he's worth trading?

"Hey guys our GM who is pretty good at missing on first round picks grabbed this part-time UF DL guy... he's really a 3T but we're moving him to big end (a position no one really has anymore)... he's got like 20 snaps of tape if you wanna maybe ship us a 3rd rounder so we can lose our [BLEEP] on a pick we made a few months ago... THANKS"

Not sure I want to live on this planet anymore

.....if only we could set a timer on posts and delay this by two years, then it would be a very poignant question.

The easiest answer to your question of why we didn't attempt to trade this year's first rounder? Because that would be the GM signing their own death warrant.

Just a daily reminder to anyone who forgot.

David Caldwell drafted a DE from a school that historically produces terrible NFL talent in the first round.

Carry on...

The fact he played at Florida means nothing. Fred Taylor went to UF.... So did Jevon Kearse.

Great.

The point still remains that where he played college ball means nothing.

1) who the heck would trade anything for him? And we wouldn't get anything near valued compensation.
2) He's a rookie and hasn't even had enough time to evaluate him.

Sorry, but the thought of trading him never even entered my mind and for good reason....
Let's Get Em!!!! Go Jags!

Remember when people on here said Barkley makes them nervous because he's a Penn State RB

Yeah, don't use that logic

- He was going to cost too much so instead of cutting him or simply letting him walk, we got a decent return with a 3rd and 5th.

- It really doesn’t matter where your drafted because Yan proved this.

- If we’re being honest, Fowler is a LB not a DE.

Ok so why wouldn’t we trade a guy like Bryan? He really hasn’t made one play in preseason or regular season. He’s playing out of position.

Some say he is a development player but man we spent a first round pick on him.

I’ve had a few Gator fans tell me he wasn’t good at all.

Why not trade Bryan while we’re at it.
What would we get for him?  He has shown very little of any spark on the field.
