Does House have any trade value?
|
Quote:No reason to trade him. We need depth at that position considering Prince always gets hurt. Yeah, there really isn't a reason to trade him unless someone is offering up a lot. Prince is also here on a one year deal, so there isn't even a guarantee that he'll be here next season if he performs well. We show less advertisements to registered users. I remember when people were saying House is our best corner. And I argued that Colvin is. Because we play nickle d 60 percent of the time.

We need depth at that position considering Prince always gets hurt. Being that no team probably will offer the Jaguars a package that would make it worth them trading Davon House before the trade deadline, I completely agree with what you mentioned. Not only do the Jaguars have to factor in Prince's injury history, the position in general frequently requires depth because of injuries. Especially, when considering Nickel and Dime Packages. The off-season would probably be a better time for the Jaguars to assess how to proceed with House. So much could depend on the team's coaching situation. Another HC and DB Coach could easily want to go in another direction.
If you were a GM of another team, would you give up anything of value for a below average, penalty ridden CB midway through the season?
Maybe, MAYBE we can get a 6th or 7th rounder but his value is worth more than that to us this year as an experienced #4 CB. I do like the starting trio of Prince/Ramsey on the outside with Colvin as the nickel. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! What a game, 6. I root for the Lions because of ya, and loved Stafford since Georgia and Mark freaking Richt. You're having an edgy season for sure. Nice one yesterday.

It was a heck of a game. You described my emotions well. Tying that game to a theme of this thread, the CB position, Darius ' Big Play' Slay lived up to his nickname on the Eagles final 2 drives. That game illustrates there's a reason why high caliber CBs get paid big bucks.
I doubt we'll see a fire sale. That would imply that Caldwell feels like the team needs to be blown up, and he's positive that he and Bradley are both safe regardless of what happens. That's wrong on both counts. The team has plenty of talent, we just have a middle school JV coaching staff trying to use it. Caldwell is probably safe, but if Bortles collapses to the point that Khan thinks a new QB is needed, who knows?
I agree with D6. There's too much uncertainty to be dumping players that we know are good, but are probably being horribly misused.
He actually has negative trade value. If you add him in a trade package, you get less in return.

As others have mentioned, No I wouldnt trade him unless it was some crazy deal. Id keep him for depth with our luck and everything.

I don't think being a starting CB on a top 10 D makes you below average. Every D has to have a least productive guy, but that doesn't mean he is a scrub. He's been decent

Guess he doesn't agree that his play had earned him a spot on the bench. Quote:That's a lot of money to be a #4 CB.Given the high % of 3 CBs on the field (ie. nickel), the 4th CB is the first backup on the field. He's got more value as an important backup, rather than an additional let round conditional pick. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
The Packers probably would welcome him back right now if he was a free agent, but definitely not via trade. They will be understaffed at cornerback tomorrow.

If you slip, with options available, you move to the back of the line. It's a show me now league. Get better Housey.
