He was in the endzone for a touch down

I don't think he got in and one thing you have to look at is, if you are assuming he extended the ball, the problem is, if you watch the replay, the ball came loose when he started to extend it, and that's why he actually didn't extend it.
Watch the replay. The ball comes loose when he starts to extend it, so he re-gathered the ball and by that time he was stopped. That's why he failed to extend it into the end zone. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Maybe someone with better editing skills can capture it. He was in but they're going to go with the call on the field most of the time in that situation.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

He's already been contacted by the safety in this still, thus the ball was beyond that point (and likely secure) before this contact you've captured. KC defensive end falling on Foles with his whole body weight not called a penalty. Myles Jack fumble TD return called back in the AFC Championship game. #becausejaguars you don't rekick that unless the P shanked the heck out of it or the receiving teams has a whopper of a return. Our guys were the ones sprinting downfield in coverage, so now you want them to repeat that while catching their breath, and risking a longer return? Nah. I'll play you in ping pong.

No, what I saw when I was watching the replay on Sunday was that his hand came forward without the ball, because he lost his grip when he tried to extend it. His hand then retracts to regain control of the ball, and by that time, he was stopped. He never extended the ball. I'll take your word for it. I rewatched it on gamepass and didn't see it, but it's entirely possible.
I think he may have just broken the plane but I cant see how they could overturn whatever was called on the field. If they had called it in, that probably would have stood.
I can't be too angry as we got damn lucky with that 4th and 1 review earlier on that drive. I dont think Fournette got that one. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

From what I saw, as he starts to extend his arms the ball jostles out of his right hand and down his right forearm which makes him pull back and regather the ball. 100% would've broken the plane if he would've reached across with the ball secured in both hands. |
