But wouldnt you want Mack at C, and Linder at LG? Thats the thing with Mack, we fixed one issue and created another, instead of fixing the hole.

Doesn't surprise me, actually. That's an enviable tandem if you look through league rosters and consider how well Lewis has played compared to his "drop-off seasons" from a while back.  His limited play was quite good last season, there just wasn't enough of it to add up to much.

I am just questioning the offseason decision to make Linder the C given the situation. Great run blocker and great pass blocker, no question! He is very unexperienced as a center. Didn't play the position in college except for 3 games. I understand many of you look at PFF, look via the eyes, and say wow Linder is blocking great. The rest of the line is NOT. It is not because they are turnstiles like Guy Whimper, it constantly looks like they don't know who to block! There is so much more to center than just snapping and blocking. They call out protections, they call out who to block. Again, an experienced QB would be at the line making sure everyone knows who to get. We see this week by week watching the veteran QBs. Blake doesn't do that at all. He more or less says well, I am sure they'll figure it out.

Couldve fixed two positions with one signature. Mack isn't young but at 30 years of age, he can string together 3-4 decent years.

AJ Cann had his worst game to date vs the Ravens. He played aweful.


I think he was the lowest graded lineman, from listening to Boselli yesterday. Reed was the next lowest, then Parnell.


I think they said they were all together with the lowest grade with a -3.

Rewatched most of the offensive snaps on O line. Good god, Parnell man. This guy stops blocking mid way through plays so often. Good in pass block because he has good feet, but his get off is atrocious in the run game. I am starting to question if maybe we should put Joekel at RT, and I am being dead serious. I wish I knew how to make gifs, his play is embarrassing.
