All he needs to do is be a beast against the run and eat up space and its a great pick. I dont care if he gets zero sacks and no pressure

It's a huge need. The big negative is his pass rushing ability, but we needed a guy who could be used on rushing downs. It's a role player, but an important one. I guess the only question is whether the value is there. I have mixed emotions on this one.
I keep seeing people complain Hamilton isn't a pass rusher. But did you guys see the Jags run defense last year? It was the worst in franchise history, they need run stoppers.

Sounds good in theory but why not get him in the 4th round and not early 3rd? Because Dave had sources tell him that Hamilton wouldn't be there in the fourth round, and Hamilton was the last player they felt had starting potential at DT. Have I about got the usual reasons covered for Dave's annual third round reach? We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

Got to draft a guy behind Dobbs. Behind this line, Minshew and Dobbs will both be on IR by week 8. No 4th round saviors going to help. Got to get the big uglies early, look how the Colts built that line as an example. Just a MONSTER O Line.

Sure that means there is room for improvement, but not dire straights. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
No way this is a reach. If you did any mock drafts you would know he never makes it out of the 3rd round. He is exactly what we needed on the D-line.

14 starts 6 sacks as a NT last season. That's really good production.
5.14 @ 320 is good athleticism. 33 on the bench. High level of competition. This spot is where good nost tackles live. Good pick.
I agree this pick has a chance to be great. Im glad we picked him here instead of reaching for DT to stuff the run in the first. We have great edge rushers, so we can afford to have some run stuffers in the interior

This guy is just going to clog the middle and the LB's/DE's are going to make plays. An excellent pick IMO. I was crushed to see Josh Jones go right in front of us but they may have taken DH anyway.
Season Ticket holder since 2004.

If you watched last season Minshew was running for his LIFE. I'm guessing it's sarcasm. Has to be. It's comments like these that make me think Caldwell actually feels the O line is ok. |
