He single handedly restored a lot of faith in the Jags when he came in that first game when floes went down.

I agree he should start the remainder of this season whenever he's up to it.  He may not even miss a game.  I say he stays on the team as a back up the next 2 years regardless.

Yeah, he plays hard for this team, including trying to play with a messed up hand. His accuracy went downhill with this injury, but some of his stats since the Texans game and beyond were still pretty good like his TD to INT ratio. (5 to 1) Here's hoping he can heal up and come back looking more like he did in the first couple of games this season.

Certainly explains some of his recent struggles.

The worst part for me is we lost all those games he played through it. Had he disclosed it immediately, gotten surgery if needed, and healed, we still probably would have lost those games but right now he'd be coming back after the bye almost fully healthy. Now we lost those games AND have to wait for him to heal.

Dude --- we have Taven Bryan dropping back into coverage.  I wouldn't put it past our coaching staff to have Luton play both sides of the ball like they do in high school.  Most QBs in high school either play LB or Secondary so Luton may be able to cover (Luton-Island)

Here is Ian talking a bit more about Gardner's injury. The way Ian is talking about it, it doesn't sound as bad as what the Dr. had originally speculated it might be. It sounds more minor and maybe something that Gardner might not keep Gardner out that long. Ian also mentioned that he might be able to play through it. Profootball Doc also speculates that Gardner might be able to play after the bye week with this injury. Hopefully we learn some more about the real extent of this injury in a little bit:

Rest him till he is healthy. He has locked up a back up position for the future. There’s no need to risk that. Finding quality backups is HARD... really hard, and we have one. Rest the guy, see if Luton has any trade value, and get a franchise guy in the draft.

Makes sense. I figured it was a week or so ago when some guy on some team (idk, who really paid that much attention?) knocked the ball out of his hands while he was attempting to pass. At the time it looked like it would hurt, but more so hurt the elbow or possibly shoulder. I think it was ruled a fumble. Figured it happend then.
