There is a whole more to do than just read snopes! no one has ever said Snopes doesn't need fact checked as well.


All I'm saying is if you can find objective evidence that supports the claim then it doesn't matter who the author is.

Well who out there is doing it better? Honestly don't use snopes except to refute dumb crap. Like Obama isn't American or some other [BLEEP] statement. Research easily makes people in that camp look like idiots.

i dont think Snopes is doing anybody a service, like i said. it's a debunking site, which i dont like.  debunkers have a built-in bias to debunk whatever they are talking about.

 

the woman who runs the website thewallwillfall.org is somebody i would consider a true journalist.

This, and people fail to understand this. Snopes isn't fact checking objective questions. It isn't an algorithim they are solving. Especially when it comes to politics, it isn't a 1 or a 0. Snopes is naturally going to have bias. Just like Fox News, Breitbart, CNN, Politifact, and other news outlets.

 

My main issue is when websites LIKE Snopes and Politifact act like their poop don't stank and they convince the public they are neutral.

Interesting reading, but she seems pretty focused on a narrow field of expertise. I enjoyed Al Jazeera America while it lasted as an outlet for a broader scope of topics like the news USED to be like. It was a nice escape from the usual suspects.

Exactly.  I would go further to say that just because a website like snopes or politifact says something, it isn't so.  However, people buy into it.

 

Most people refuse to understand logic (1/0, true/false, high/low, etc.).
