There are some QBs who can end up being decent starters, which is way better than Bortles. But if we draft another QB in the top 10, I want a bona-fide franchise guy.

Darnold or bust. I agree though. Too many times we draft a guy based on measurable/potential.


If we're going top 10 QB then we go all out on Darnold. Too much talent here, sell your soul for a Franchise QB if Bortles isn't it.

There are no bonafide franchise qbs in this draft. I tend to compare Trubisky to Bortles not because they are exactly alike, but they both come with all the traits you want in a QB but need to play a bit to adjust to the NFL. Bortles did just fine going into year two, but then his arm issues arose year three. It's reasonable to think Trubisky might turn out great without the freak arm issues down the road.


 

Beyond Trubisky there is some hope in Mahomes due to his powerful arm, and maybe with Kizer but he did choke a bit his senior season.


 

Watson is going to flame out. Just watch.


 

Peterman might be the most well-groomed of the bunch with a rather high floor, but his ceiling appears limited to being a high-profile backup type guy.
