That's only if Hyde is good enough or if we find someone after final cuts. The backups we didn't use last year are the same guys who are behind on the depth chart today. Ozigbo, Ogunbowale and Cottrell.

You know you're dealing with a belief system when you get an emotional response. 

Yeah, but what did he have last year, like 237 carries?  He wasn't exactly over-worked.  If the team isn't behind by double-digits by halftime every game, he could have more carries to go along with that lower percentage.

289 touches in 14 games is pretty wild, especially considering we got game scripted out of running the ball a lot.

He certainly won't get 87% of the carries this year, but when you factor in that he missed the last 2 games of the season - his carry percentage overall was in the low 70s. The fact that he had 1070 yards in only 14 games tells me that he can lose some carries over the course of the season and still hit 1000 yds.  He only has to average 62.5 yds per game over 16 games to hit 1000.  Assuming he stays healthy I would think 1100 yds and 6-8 TDs isn't unreasonable to expect.

JROB will be well above 1000 on the ground, and ima say 1600 overall all purpose. He was a MONSTER last season. Every single damn game at least 2 giant plays by him was called back by random penalties that had nothing to do with him getting the yards. The main reason I even stay interested watching games when we are a 1-15 quality team is because DFS, and I remember down the stretch going completely going crazy over the penalties as I had a lot of really good best ball teams on draftkings with JROB (which was rare). The kid can flat out play. He just reminds me of Frank Gore. There’s really nothing I guess that jumps out, but he gets the job done time and time again. Not flashy, but my guess is he will be consistent. As long as TLAW stays healthy and there’s the threat of a passing game, he should have a much better year.

I Love having ETN on our roster (minus the injury) but if we selected another player, JR30 and LS10 would be the primary targets for that role anyway. Let's pray that we don't miss a player that we somewhat never had.
