The former third rounder just got cut after contributing extremely little to the team. Sometimes the fans are right. Head coaches and general managers get fired all the time. Baalke got fired as general manager when his team progressively kept getting worse and worse and worse over time. Just because you have the title, it doesn't necessarily mean you are good at it. Even if you are good at it, it still doesn't mean that you can't be wrong on one decision. I think people on this board should absolutely question every decision. Agree with it if you like it. Disagree with it if you hate it. That's the whole point of the board. If I just wanted to hear the Jaguars talking points, I can read an article on Jaguars.com. You don't need a message board for it. People who just blindly agree with every decision quickly lose credibility with me and I don't value their opinions very much.
The Practice Squad looks good.... Cotton is back!!
"If you always do what you've always done, You'll always get what you always got"
It's the practice squad. Does it really make a difference?
There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't.
This board is chocked full of cynical gurus…good luck with that

We have signed QB Kyle Lauletta and TE Matt Sokol to the practice squad and placed WR Tavon Austin on injured reserve
Here's a nice little write up on our new Practice Squad QB lololol

Hey that lauletta guy is the qb that lit us up in preseason for the browns. Haha nice

So, when a team signs a 3rd string QB, it seems like they would keep him away from everyone else, in order to avoid the situation Denver got into last year, when all of their QBs had to go into Covid protocol.
Just a random comment.

Are vaccinated players required to quarantine if exposed? When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

As a fan and fan only, being disappoint by the staff's decision making process only allows you to vent via. this message board i.e. social media. Let's add Blake Bortles, Taven Bryan, Nick Foles, etc. to this list. We ALL have opinions and I personally respect each and every one of them. The fact of the matter is that Boo Coo fans have an tendency to be Pessimistic when team's decisions doesn't reflect their personal wish list(s). If the front office appeased each and every wish list, where would this team be? I said that to say this. There's millions of wish lists and only 3-5 front office personnel per team that makes the overall decisions. Respect their decisions until you can't anymore. This regime is unproven at this point to which we as Fans need to support said decisions instead of slandering because they the front office made a decision that they individually don't like. I'm an Optimist as everyone can TELL of which My Glass is more than half full. At this point our team (in its infancy) needs Optimism, not Pessimism. Also, the value of one person's opinion of another person's opinion is simply an opinion. We ALL have that right. Do we not? NH3...

Great question. I looked it up, and I guess the answer is, no. https://www.nfl.com/news/nfl-covid-19-ou...elled-game If a vaccinated person tests positive and is asymptomatic, he or she will be isolated and contact tracing will promptly occur. The positive individual will be permitted to return to duty after two negative tests at least 24-hours apart and will thereafter be tested every two weeks or as directed by the medical staffs. Vaccinated individuals will not be subject to quarantine as a result of close contact with an infected person. • If an unvaccinated person tests positive, the protocols from 2020 will remain in effect. The person will be isolated for a period of 10 days and will then be permitted to return to duty if asymptomatic. I'm impressed w/his play BUT concerned that he could be plucked from our PS. NEVERTHELESS, he's on our team until he isn't. Time Will Tell. NH3...

Well, as long as Trevor Lawrence is who we think he is, most of this won't matter. If he hits his ceiling, he will elevate everyone and make us a playoff contender for the next decade and a half. I am skeptical, but I am hopeful we do have the all so elusive elite QB on the roster now. True elite QBs will make poor look average, average look good and good players elite. Give a Brady or Manning type an elite WR, and they do what Moss did in 2007.

People who just blindly agree with every decision quickly lose credibility with me and I don't value their opinions very much. I just used Quincy Williams since he's the most recent example. There's plenty of other cases where some fans were right and the team was right. The Jaguars have mostly struggled over the last ten years. The people who have mostly been negative on here have also mostly been right. The people who blindly defended the team were mostly wrong. History is overwelmingly on the side of the people you are criticizing. There's some people who only want to hear good news. While I prefer good news to bad news, I want the truth. I would rather listen to bad news that is true versus good news that is false, one-sided, unsubstantiated or misleading. If someone only wants to hear positives about the Jaguars, then I suggest that they read the O-zone or other articles on Jaguars.com. You don't need a message board for that. To me, the whole point of a message board is to get diverse opinions and opinions are only meaningful if they are honest. If you think the Jaguars should do X and they do Y and then you blindly defend Y, then you are not being honest. If someone wants to do that, fine. I would just like them to understand that if their goal is change people's minds, it's helpful to be credible. If someone 100% always blindly defends the Jaguars, their opinions aren't credible. While there may be an occasional troll on this board, I think most of the regulars are just being honest when they criticize the Jaguars. They shouldn't be criticized for that. |
