im familiar with that.  that is the ground game?  i dont see that being a difference maker.  these people would still need to walk to the bus stop and dedicate half their day to voting.  i dont see that happening for Hillary. this aint Obama, the media darling savior.

In 2008, the Democrats had a database of all their supporters, and they figured out likely voters vs less enthusiastic or lazy voters, and they targeted the less likely voters with phone calls and offers of rides to the polls.   They set up phone banks with volunteers to call the less likely voters and ask them if they had voted yet, and arrange rides to the polls if necessary.  The McCain campaign was behind the curve on technology, and it made some difference.

The same thing happened in 2012 but the Romney campaign had caught on and did some of this themselves.

This is what's called "the ground game."   It's organization and volunteers on the ground in battleground states.  With early voting in most states, and the polls staying open for a week or more, it can make all the difference in a close election.   The Clinton campaign won't just be doing this on election day, they'll be able to spend a week or more calling all the less likely voters and getting them to the polls.

From what I've read, Trump has pretty much ignored this aspect of the election.

Glad to see that democrats utter laziness doesn't stop during voting and they are able to be lazy year round without having to take a break. The getting dressed part to get out and vote must be hard though. That is unless of course the ground game brings the polls to them, or better yet just votes for them.
