It's not the same old Jaguars. They have lost four games now where they had opportunities to win it or at least tie it in the final quarter.
This has been the most competitive football team we have seen since 2017 and I think they'll be fine going into 2023. If Lawrence can bounce back? This defense can bounce back. They have the Giants, Broncos and Raiders all coming up? Two of those look winnable. Knowing them? They'll probably stun a 5 - 1 Giants team this Sunday coming up and then lose to the Broncos and Raiders in close fashion. It's been frustrating in these losses this year. But, it's competitive at least. At least they're not embarrassing us fans and themselves before half time. It's a step in the right direction. Need to keep hitting in the draft. i think that the 6-8 wins is not sustainable now. Teams that we thought we had a chance against are much better than predicted. Jets, Giants and Cowboys come to mind. We may be able to beat the Broncos in London. Sadly, I think losses to all 3 of those teams lowers our win total maximum to 4.

The defense isn’t as good as was thought because it was totally dependent on the turnovers that were coming early in the year that have since evaporated.
This team needs to prioritize interior D-line depth and O-line next offseason as well as getting a bigger bodied #1 receiver. This season is not over though. Getting Fatukasi back hopefully soon will be huge. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Fatukasi is definitely the most critical cog in the defensive machine it appears. The defense has been a shadow of itself without him.
Every season for the past decade has been an excuse and a "wait until next year" mantra. It's so freaking old.
Here we go again

This is a pretty good football team that doesn't know how to win yet. Try not to look at this team as the "same old Jaguars".

Brandon Scherff is no longer that dude. Next season I want him gone.

My only question is how come Matt Ryan can drop back 58 times with a patch worked oline but we need to draft oline? Lawrence has been sacked 10 times this year. Even if we had Orlando Pace, Steve Hutchinson, Tony Boselli, Bruce Matthews, and Dermotti Dawson on the oline today, oursecondary still got barbecue’d and Ryan could have played the game in a tuxedo and went to Ruth’s Chris for dinner after the game.

I'm just really tired of the "it takes time to put a team together" narrative we've been on for most of the last 15 years.

That was dysfunction. You're now seeing an actual team still learning. It's at least promising. It's at least competitive. To be fair, we haven’t had a real coach around here for about 15 years. Doug P in his first year already has this team playing better football. 3 loses by 1 score is a lot better than getting blown out every week. Once the talent matches the coaching, this team will be much, much better.
