Jags OL is 10th in rushing per game and 2nd (28th actually) in pass pro.

Cannot really afford to pay both long term. I'm not sure trading either of them will net more than the compensatory pick of losing Taylor either. And Little has not stepped up enough yet to make that play a net positive for the team long term. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

If he continues to dominate and shines at the combine I think we have to take a serious look at him. Could likely play LG or either tackle spot. Not if they feel he can be an elite LG it won't really matter what they do with them. They could just put him at LG
Former Jaguar great Uche Nwaneri disagrees with the naysayers here. He agrees with me the offensive line has played well.

Robinson - Average and over payed. I “think” it’s about 18M per year
Bartch/Shatley - Backups imo Fortner - A rookie who must improve next year Scherff - Solid when healthy Taylor - Career year so far but poor in previous seasons Run blocking seems pretty good although not physical enough to get much of a push on short yardage. Pass protection, especially on the left side, needs improvement. Short passes and scrambles are mitigating the sack totals.

This would be concerning if true.

Lawrence has had a clean Jersey most games. Through 9 games the line has only given up 12 sacks all year. Robinson at times has also looked worth every cent at times. Get to know me. TL16 hasn't been running for his life as you projected. Also Fortner as an rookie is holding his own. Give him a couple of years and we'll be talking otherwise, and how can you determine that Cam is OVER PAID and is Average? Check the rating of our 2022 OL. NH3...

Yeah. I am kind of in the middle with the offensive line play. I don't see it the way some folks are making it out to be. He's been sacked twelve times in nine games in an offense that was 6th at one point in pass attempts.
Outside of a few glaring plays like the Scherff losing his helmet, insert Van Lanen disaster and a few high pressures earlier on he's had plenty of time to get it done. He's had three games this year where he played accurately and had an outstanding passer rating. That doesn't happen without good to great pass protection. Also, much like Nwaneri. That's been the majority take as well locally here on the radio. Hicken and Prosser. Dempsey and his crew. The 12 PM crew. Various football players like Lageman, Searcy and Boselli, etc. Basically. Some folks on here sound and look like they are full of [BLEEP]. ![]() Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? They dialed up tons of dink and dunk - quick release passes in those games to counter the pressure. And the sack number only tells you he avoids lots of them with his mobility. He's the 9th most hurried QB in the league right now. And there are 23 QBs in the league (minimum 5 games played) that receive more time in the pocket than Lawrence. Tons of these stats out there on multiple sites. The fantasy geeks track tons of metrics these days. Just watch a full replay from any loss and watch C, LG, and LT the whole time. You'll see it plain as day. You said in another thread that Lawrence needs to have a comp rate like he's had in his wins every single week. That would make him the #1 Qb in comp. rate league wide. By a whopping 7% over the next guy. I'm not asking for anything near that from these three struggling linemen. All I'm asking is this line go from a 50% win rate in pass protection (29th in the league at time of post) to around 60% which would rank them 14th. It would dramatically alter the passing game's efficiency. Guaranteed.

Ahh, sorry for my misunderstanding. Not as familiar as I’d like to be with Cam’s contract. But guessing it would be a ton of dead money if he were released next year. I don’t think Cam is going anywhere. I don’t mind drafting guards high but imo the team just has too many holes to fill for that luxury.

LG is the weakest link on the oline imo and if you can replace the weakest link with a elite player it would be huge for the offense. If they think he's an greae olinenan and their top player on their board it would hard to pass him up.(11-13-2022, 09:13 AM)flgatorsandjags Wrote: I was talking about Skoronski. The line was relatively well until today's game. I don't think anybody, including Scherff, played that well at all enough today. Between the pressures, the penalties and lack of running room.
I would say this was their worst overall performance since the season opener. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? The line has been teetering between meh and bad all year but today was horrific.
O- Line cost is a TD. Cam Robinson [BLEEP] up, and made a HUGE mental mistake.
But this OLine has been playing well all year. It wasn't the oline that lost us this game, other than Robinson's illegal man down field. Our kicker left at least 6 points on the feild. Kirk let a prefect ball hit him in the shoulder pad ON OUR FIRST GD DRIVE. and yes, Cam made a bone head play. But don't blame the o line for this loss. If you do, you really didn't watch the game. For Christ's sake! The first 2 TD drives by KC were helped by blown coverages that made me think that the entire secondary had an anyrysm!!! This was a loss that a team grows from. But that's only because we finally have a real head coach. I was frustrated in the first half, but the we looked sofa king good in the 2nd half. There's so much potential here. 2023 is gonna be fun. 2024 is when we cash in some receipts. Pederson is changing is from joke into a contender. And he's done it in less than a season. Go ask those WRs over on KC that we just beach made. Legal hits all of them. And now they gonna, be sitting out trying to clear out the nightmare of facing our secondary.
Bro you weren't watching the game today if you don't think this OL was giving up a bunch of constant pressure until Trevor and Doug switched it up to the quick throw passing game.
