I'm not sure what that sounds like.  Can you demonstrate?

My brother says herbstreet and Michaels put him to sleep. I dont think they are that bad. Seriously though, I will take jags announcers over cbs announcers everyday. Tbe fox announcers didmt bother me as much but still not too impressed

What would your resume need to look like? I mean, if you sound good and know football, what’s stopping you.

I think it's a lot like acting gigs. You do a lotta work on small stages through school, get to know folks with connections. When openings come up, you hope your connections remember you.

That, or you buy the radio station.

Like AC/DC said, it's a long way to the top

You go work at a radio or TV station or you start doing it while you're in broadcasting school. Most communications and journalism majors have an opportunity to go down that path. Your resume would be journalism, public relations, marketing or something similar. Example, Jags regular Andrew Catalon started out in newscasts and moved into college sports then kept branching out into other sports and leagues.

OR you could be like Frangie and have your buddy the station owner pay the big bucks to get you the gigs.

kinda off topic, but your comment reminded me of Mike Terico

First time I saw him on TV was in the 90s.  He was the play by play for ESPN's "Roller Hockey League".  The league lasted one entire summer and Mike was the dude that would be doing the broadcast.  I remember thinking to myself, who the heck is this kid and why is he such a nerd?  Terico was not on any other program for ESPN and this hockey league show only lasted like 3 months or so.

Slowly, I started recognizing this guy doing other "X-Game" programing.  Then, one day, about 2 years later I saw him doing a Basketball Broadcast of some tiny school in the middle of nowhere like Southern Alaska State versus University of Phoenix.  And I thought to myself, "oh look who's on the come up?!"

Most people have to bust their [BLEEP] to get to thier goals.  Which makes nepotism that much more annoying.

If she is not good, yeah send her to the sideline or off-air. Don't make this a sexism thing.

Good for her for going for her dream and achieving it.  I'd be proud of her if I were her father.  That said, I don't care to listen to her do play-by-play and would look for other broadcast options if she was doing a game I was interested in. As bad as Frangie is, I'd probably turn down the TV volume if she were doing a Jags away game and turn on the radio broadcast and try to sync it with the TV using timeslip on the DVR.  I used to do that back in the day with Sexton sometimes because I preferred the radio broadcast to the network ones, but I'm not going out of my way for Frangie on the regular.

That Boom guy is better than Frangie.

The comment that He has a face for radio was brutal, but true.

The biggest issue with him is he was terrible in the very limited practice games he was given on some lowly college football. Then he was given the job after they bought it instead of actually interviewing or finding people better than the current broadcast team. So he sucks, his show is terrible, and yet he can't be replaced for someone better until he retires.

What she says isn't bad, but the tone, tenor, pitch, accent, and inflections all make how she says it unlistenable.

It's up to us to get Frangie a major promotion so he transfers out of this play by play job with the Jags. Perhaps we can land him on Monday Night Football doing play by play or maybe become part of the Manning simulcast (Manning, Manning, and Frangie)

One solution is to buy a ticket and go to the game?

You should listen to the radio while at the game, otherwise you will miss a lot

I tried that, but there's a big delay.  You'll be hearing them call the previous play while the current play is happening.
