With the Jaguars selecting 13 players in the 2023 NFL Draft and having one of the better rosters in the NFL, there are less opportunities for Priority free agents to make the Jaguars 53 man opening day roster.

I’m not ready to say the Jags have one of the better rosters. I’d call it a mediocre roster with some strengths and weaknesses buoyed by an ascending star QB. If Trevor misses significant time, they are not making the playoffs.

The offensive line is average to bottom third. The pass rush is bottom third.

Above average receiving corps, running backs, and linebackers.

Average secondary and special teams.
Fun fact. Neither would the Chiefs, Chargers, Jets, Bengals, Bills......

Fun fact: All those teams have better supporting casts around their star QBs.

What’s his 40 time? He has long arms, fights for the ball, and loves the end zone. He could be Allen Robinson 2.0. Jump ball specialist. He looks more polished than Lazard coming out.

It’s funny looking back at jags wide receivers around the time when the team had Lazard. He might have been the only good one.

He's really not. Had he stuck here, it would be the same old song and dance every Sunday in the game thread with folks complaining our receivers can't catch or separate.

If you need a tall #4 receiver who's good for 400 yards and 6 dropped balls, he's your guy.

Do they though? I'll take the Jags RBs and WRs over the Chiefs, Jets and Bills.

Regarding the bolded:

Our ST may have been a bit above average last year, but either way, it had better improve this year after adding SEVEN draft picks from the 5th, 6th and 7th rounds. LOL.

Interestingly enough, gunner will be a position to watch in camp/preseason games. Claybrooks and Thomas are on the bubble and played very well downing punts deep last year.

The Jets have a nice collection of skill players on par with the Jaguars. The Bills may not have as much depth among their skill players, but Diggs is a major threat. I'd take all their defenses, defensive coordinators, and O-lines over the Jaguars'.

I like the Lenny Taylor signing!

TE with good hands, with a big body coming in at 6’5” and 247 pounds. 4.6 speed.

His weakness is he’s slow off the ball, and doesn’t offer much after the catch. He’s more of a Damon Jones type.

Luke Farrell vs Leonard Taylor in camp. Farrell runs a 4.95 so Taylor is a faster. Farrell is a better blocker. Both are 6’5 and Luke weighs 250.

I didn’t realize Ferrell was a bit slow.
