The deciding factor may ultimately be the rematch in Houston. I think the Jags can get it together and still win the division but it’s now a battle.

We were made out to be running away with the division and near elite, this game still stings because we have to legitimately think about lowering our expectations of what we thought we were. I can't believe that was us at home off a bye week. I didn't recognize that team. We aren't doomed, but we're on fraud watch.

You can't?

2023 L 34-3 SFO
2022 W 28-27 BAL
2021 L 31-7 @SEA
2020 L 27-25 HOU
2019 L 33-13 @IND
2018 L 29-26 @ IND

Following our last 6 byes we are 1-5 and that win was a 2 pt conversion to steal a win instead of risking OT. The bye is not friendly to us. AT. ALL. And there are certainly some lopsided stinkers in that heap.

Appears from the results after a bye week we should petition the NFL to make it a pre-season game no?

We are undefeated on the road. Campo suggested Doug make them stay in a hotel together Friday/Saturday before the game.

More of a jab taken at the local fanbase if anything. There's no homefield advantage here. Jimmy Smith said the same thing about their loss on Sunday yesterday on the radio. He could feel the energy more from the San Francisco faithful more than he could from our fans. The day prior the argument was made that fans were selling their tickets and making big profits off of it because you had west coast people with west coast money coming into town.

It is what it is. It's an interesting dynamic. Three stinkers at home this year so far and, again, that's with a new stadium and billions of dollars being proposed to the tax payer. Fixing to get real interesting here in my opinion. Feel bad for Prisco after he stood up for the fanbase to that "clown" on that panel. Embarrassing really.

Tough to keep the energy up as fans when the team comes out the way it has.
A quick three and out and 49ers marched right down for a touchdown to start the game is a vacuum of energy, sucked the life right out of the stadium

I dont see this being an issue with the stadium talks. The tickets were bought 2nd hand at a premium, who shows up with those tickets is irrelevant to the business side of the team.

Deshaun Watson is out for the season so that helps the Jags in week 14.

PJ Walker and DTR have a combined 1 TD and 8 Interceptions on the season while completing 50% of their passes.

It's not the financial aspect that's concerning. It's the overall headcount that bothered some of the former players. Headcounts dictate the energy and crowd noise. It felt like our stadium was overwhelmed and overran by the 49ers faithful per multiple fan accounts and former players speaking.

Said I felt better in the Week 10 thread in the NFL league forum a moment ago.

However, if you're the Browns you're just looking back at this 49ers game and copying what they did defensively unless we start doing things differently between weeks 11 and 13.

I am not sure what is expected of the Jag fans in this case. I guess we could get real loud and celebrate the kicking of our O-line/D-lines butts? (from the beginning of the day till the end) The other team taking 5 plays to score instead of 4?  Celebrate the team held the SF offense on 2 downs only to have them convert on 3rd? Trevor running for his life from the moment he caught the snap?

Anytime the team began putting a drive together the home crowd got into it.  They were also pretty rowdy before the game began.  If the home team had not done the Keystone Cops routine (the fans have seen this act twice before) there would be no issues or talk of this.  Problem is it takes both sides and the team performed miserably failing to do their part.  Actually, it didn't take much to get the crowd into it as we were starving for something to cheer about.

Reasonable take.

Cleveland will be tough but winnable. The tacks games are divisional games but we have to beat them at least once. The tinhorns game the following week has me a little uneasy. I think we should be teams like Carolina and Tampa Bay. Thus, sweeping the NFC South.

That gives you 10 wins there, considering you split with the tacks and get swept by the tinhorns. This leaves games like Cincinatti and Baltimore on the table and in primetime slots. Would love to see us win those two games but I just have my reservations for now.

If the Jaguars need the fans in order to win then the team should be paying the fans to attend.

The offense has to give the fans something to cheer about at home. It's as simple as that in my opinion. I don't blame the fans. I am just passing along what the locals are saying. That was Jimmy Smith saying that by the way.

Also, for people saying we can't do this play deep or that play deep? Jimmy Smith & Jeff Lageman said it yesterday and Doug Pederson said it today. Deep shots have to be on their radar and deep shots need to occur one way or another.

Again, goes back to the whole idea or notion of being deliberate and having intent with Lawrence. If the interior struggles the most? Move AWAY from the interior, roll him out of the pocket a few times per game. Minimum five times per game.

Get the layered route running going again from left to right or right to left depending on the direction you want to attack in the secondary. We have hardly seen that this year on offense. Where they get Lawrence on the move and looking at the short - mid - deep route options on one side of the field.

I honestly feel like they did it more during his rookie year and last year than they have this year and it's confusing me because it specifically gets you away from the trouble areas on the offensive line. Again, you don't have to do it on every single drive, but, goes back to being conscience and aware of needing to get the football more downfield in chunks.

If it's a timing issue from the pocket? Move him the hell away from the pocket to buy time.

Again, just stating what the locals and former players are saying and seeing. It's called homefield advantage for a reason though. Seattle has one of the best in the business. As does Kansas City.

We know the clots were piping noise onto the field in their stadium for years and you could hear a pin drop when Manning was out there on offense calling for audibles and what not.

Interesting statement though.
