A WR to keep an eye on - Barion Brown
His stats are underwhelming which could be due to QB and him just being raw. Not sure why such average stats but got a good look at him vs Clemson in the Bowl game last year where he completely dominated. 10.4 speed in HS at 6'1 https://youtu.be/51f8FbqqP34?list=TLPQMT...NcaFLYqvTw
NFL Draft Buzz Mock Draft:
16th pick: James Pearce Jr. - EDGE - Tennessee 48th pick: Jonah Savaiinaea - RG/RT - Arizona 73rd pick: Jack Nelson - LT - Wisconsin 80th pick: Domani Jackson - CB - Alabama 105th pick: Andrew Mukuba - FS/SS/CB - Texas 112th pick: Trey Zuhn III - LT - Texas A&M 144th pick: Seth McLaughlin - OC - Ohio State 176th pick: Bryson Nesbit - TE - North Carolina 208th pick: Oronde Gadsden II - TE - Syracuse Line of thinking with these selections. We still lack EDGE depth. We're going to have Walker and Hines-Allen for years to come, however, it wouldn't hurt adding an athlete like Pearce Jr. to the mix. I targeted four offensive lineman that I like in this draft so far just based on this year's play and last year's play. Savaiinaea, Nelson, Zuhn III & McLaughlin. With Scherff being over the hill, we need a RG replacement. That's where Savaiinaea starts. Nelson and Zuhn III are LT's. Good size and good feet. Let them compete with a veteran signing or outright start based on who wins the competition. McLaughlin is stout. I like him as Morse's successor. Jackson and Mukuba add great speed to our secondary and can play man-to-man. Mukuba in particular can play anywhere. Nesbit and Gadsden II give us great receiving options in the TE room. My line of thinking is trying to prepare for a potential parting of ways with Evan Engram while moving Brenton Strange up the depth chart and backfilling the roster with some quality depth and options. Gadsden has good NFL genes as well. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. I like him and his teammate, Kenneth Grant, inside next to him. He's more of a space eater type though. Not really a 3-Tech. We still seem to have no presence inside with this defense at all. I have been keeping tabs on guys like USC's Bear Alexander and T.J Sanders out of South Carolina. Another guy worth mentioning is Arkansas' Landon Jackson. He's a bit more of a 5-Tech, but, he has a big [BLEEP] frame to work with. He would be an interesting fit if you can get him to fill out more. Could have the length to create some mismatch opportunities inside. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. Not many guys his size on the planet that can move like that. It seems like we have a lot of needs once agian. Safety is a big need as well especially if Cisco is goine. Johnson has been bad. Cisco may not be extended or coming back. Johnson just whiffs way too much or takes too many odd angles. I am hoping he turns it around this year. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. There's three receivers in next year's draft I would take already.
Tre Harris from Ole Miss. Tetairoa McMillan from Arizona. Xavier Restrepo from Miami. All of those guys are upgrades to this team. Harris is Donald Driver. McMillan is A.J Green. Restrepo is Julian Edeleman. That's who I see when I watch the highlights. Sent from my SM-S906U using Tapatalk ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? Really fun to watch this kid. Really like his toughness, willingness to work through traffic, fights for every yard after the catch, does a lot of dirty work in the short to mid game. His LSU game is fantastic from last year. Broke tackles left and right. Broke some ankles left and right. Seems to have a good route tree between the seam work, comeback and go routes. He's made Dart look really good as a QB. Almost half of his highlights are him coming back to the ball to bail him out. Right now he's got an early RD2 grade on him. If he tests well at the combine he's creeping up into RD1, no doubt about it. Especially if his 2024 campaign matches or surpasses his 2023 campaign. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? Another tough, in between the numbers receiver that just finds a way to get open and make things happen after the catch. He's a solid slot receiver at the next level. Makes a lot of closely contested catches. Thinking long term here. Life after Kirk. We have Washington, but, it wouldn't hurt having another small, compact type guy to develop or start right away. This kid checks all the boxes there in my opinion. Really good in the screen game. Good hands, good footwork along the sidelines. Shifty in the open field. Fluid route runner when asked to break outwide. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. McMillan's combine performance will more than likely solidify his position as WR1 for most draftniks and big board builders. And for good reason. Size, speed, crazy body control in stupid coverages where he shouldn't be coming down with the ball. Really solid redzone target with the ability to break in and out of slants to get open. His routes will need some work at the next level. He's lanky. However, he doesn't mess around with the football when it's in the air. He's the reach out and get it type and he attacks it in coverage. Interesting prospect. Has quick feet for a guy his size but I don't see him running anything too crazy like a 4.3 or low 4.4. He'll probably test maybe once at a 4.4 with great teaching at the combine but hit a 4.5 on his second attempt. Which I think is more inline with his speed on the field that I can see. I think the A.J Green comp is fair that I have for him. He can have a good career in the right situation I believe. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? (10-11-2024, 05:10 PM)Caldrac Wrote: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A78GUFpMCl0 These 3 receivers all look good- especially McMillan. Despite that, I would not draft a wide receiver until the 3rd day of the draft next year. They already have BTJ and Kirk will be on the team at least until the end of next season. The focus of this draft needs to be on the offensive line and secondary, with another pass rusher as the 3rd priority. Specific players I will be looking at are tackles Will Campbell and Kelvin Banks and guards Tyler Booker and Tate Ratledge. If the Jaguars lose this Sunday, they are likely to have a shot at one of the 2 tackles since they have a brutal 5 game stretch after returning from Europe. If they win Sunday and then as a solid favorite against the Patriots, we could be looking at a season where even a wild-card spot is in play and a draft spot in which the top 2 tackles will be off the board. Of course, this is the much-preferred scenario and I'd even consider taking Booker despite the fact guards are often passed on until at least round 2. Harris is probably right behind him shortly after that based on their current trajectories. Kirk's cap situation is interesting. I think it's possible he's a trading candidate or cap casualty. I think you also have to factor in that Gabe Davis has shown next to no return at all on the investment they made on him this off season. I think the offensive line will be the priority. I think the obvious positions that will need to be addressed are LT, due to free agency departures with your top two players there, followed by RG, due to Scherff's age and then lastly, a potential successor to Morse at C. Cleveland is solid at LG. I think he'll keep improving. Harrison will get better at RT. The secondary is where I am a little interested as well. Already citing names such as Mukuba, Moore and Winston Jr. at the safety positions. We also have the Vikings additional picks in next year's draft to play around with potentially. I still have high hopes for this season. Fully expecting them to come back across the pond 3 - 4. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? Watching this Alabama and South Carolina game. Really liked what I am seeing out of their Center.
Brailsford looks quick but he's really undersized at 6'2, 275. Your average NFL Center is 6'3, 308. This is the kind of prospect though that I would target at the bottom of RD3, early RD4 and develop behind Morse for a year while getting him bigger and stronger in an NFL program. Need to see what he looks like next year at the combine and pro day bench wise. Played at Guard as well. Really impressive prospect though coming over from Washington this year with his same coach. Kyle Kennard for South Carolina looks really damn good as an EDGE player.

Hopefully we can resign Walker Little and go defensive heavy in the draft. We have to fix this defense
