Damn, it's hot outside. We're going to watch the first half of the game this evening at the stadium, it should be more tolerable by then.

Tell me about it.  I just finished mowing the grass around our house, roughly about an acre.  It took me just over an hour... and that's with a tractor with a 62" belly mower.  I was having to constantly stop and pick up sticks and such that were blown down by Debbie.  My weather station says that it's 90f temperature and 67% humidity which computes to a heat index of 103f.

It makes me respect the players even more being able to practice in those kinds of conditions.

Yep. I like weight lifting in my garage a few times a week, usually the heavy compound movements to break up the trips I take to Bailey's. It was 99 degrees inside my garage yesterday. Even with a decent fan hitting me. It just felt like a damn blow dryer instead.

It's brutal. Hydration is key though. Much respect to anybody that works and runs around in this [BLEEP] though for sure on a daily basis.

Later: Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence is now under concussion protocol. Luke Fortner is apologetic.

Lol.

Next Morning: Local police are confused today as a blindfolded and handcuffed Luke Fortner was found dumped into Georgia territory this morning.

I'm excited we're finally back in football season and talk about our team with you knuckleheads again!

Lets hope our boys play well, show some competency at all levels of the depth chart, and most of all - come out healthy from these preseason games.

And here I am complaining that its too hot at 24 degrees which is about 75f.

But then we have no air con and all our houses are built to keep heat in.

Trust me for England that's hot. We may be around 28-30 degrees (82f-86f) tomorrow and Monday. That would be our hottest days of the year!!

The one time I've been to Jacksonville was in a December and everyone was wearing big coats and I was sweating in a t-shirt!!

2 hour mark!

Time to get the steaks on the grill and crack the fresh bottle of Buffalo Trace.

Little starting at right tackle, Hance in at left guard.

My prediction is that by the end of tonight, the Jags will be automatic superbowl winners or predicted to go 0-17.  Tongue

Buffalo Trace for a preseason game - definitely a man of fine tastes of which I approve with big time.

I hope we see Little take the next step in his game where his potential finally comes to fruition.

Looks like you're hitting the football season in regular stride as a Jags board member.

I’d like to see Mac Jones stink up the joint so Wolfie blows a gasket.

(In actuality I’d like to see him play well because he has to be a better option than Beathard)

I look at practice as defcon 5 hitting. They are your teammates after all. Preseason beginning tonight is defcon 4. the first half of the season defon3, last half 2 and playoffs 1. I have listened to all the "talking heads and coach speak" as they sell me on the players we have. Now is the time for the selling to stop the players show us. I have no idea what we have, but it will be interesting finding out....Wink

Pretty good way of looking at it.

I don't expect to learn much from this scrimmage.

I figure the offense won't show their hand much, the defense will keep their bag of tricks mostly unveiled, and even the new kickoff teams will be feeling it out rather than opening up their crate of smoke and mirrors.

Best we can truly hope for is to see some rookies and new signings make individual plays when the ball comes their way. And of course it would be good to see efficient communication from the starting units.
