The physical tools but I don’t see the ability from the eyebrows up to be a truly great player. But it’s reasonable to believe he can be a franchise QB for this team for a long time.

We can't be mad at the team for picking him, because he is the best QB if the 2021 class, still.
We can't be mad at the team for renewing him because he's well above average, usually.
This is part of being a fan of one team. If you're only going to root for teams with MVP level QBs you'll be hopping from team to team a lot.

The thing I hate about Lawrence game is 9 times out of 10 he makes the wrong play when the game is on the line. He will never be a star but maybe with time and talent around him he could be a good starter. Time will tell.

Trevor Lawrence is a franchise level QB.  He still has all the potential to make the Jaguars a playoff contender, even with this current roster.  The problem is he's not being coached up the way other QBs are being coached.  Monday Night's game shows it.  Does anyone here really think that Baker Mayfeild is a better QB?  I'm not saying Baker is a scrub.  He's got some talent, but he's good because he has a coaching staff around him that helps him be great.  

Lawrence is doing this all on his own with a OC that is out of his depth, and a HC that has been checked out for 2 years now.  I have no doubt that with the right staff in place, we win the division or are a wild card team for the next 10 to 15 years.  He has all the tools.  The fact that he makes mistakes sometimes doesn't change the fact that he's one of the most talented QBs in the league.

Your last paragraph is pretty spot on.

The Jags are horrendous when Pederson/Taylor script the first 15 plays. Then, when Trevor kind of just does his thing, the offense does well.

Give me Liam Coen or Ben Johnson.

Ben Johnson is the best available.  I think Shad Khan has enough money to entice him...  But he needs an EVP that can really explain to him why that type of caliber of coaching makes a difference.  If anyone can sell Shad, it would be a Hall of Fame player that is also in the Bank's Ring of Honor.

I'm hoping for the best.  I'm a die hard fan.  I want the best for this team.  I think Boselli is the one that can really turn this thing around.

Based on the topic of this thread, I think Boselli understands that a good O-Line will make Lawrence a top 5 QB.  Lawrence is a franchise QB.  He just needs the support every other good QB gets.  Lawrence is an island right now.  He's got no help.

Yeah. I am starting to think this as well. Same for Bobby Slowik in Houston. There's really no reason to rush it. Coming here actually might be a pain in the [BLEEP] when they start playing outside of the city of Jacksonville during the stadium upgrade. As a potential new coach you might want some kind of extra leverage in your contract with that alone potentially because it does impact the game to some extent. 

The main thing is Baalke. Nobody is going to come here until that son of a [BLEEP] is out of here. It was the primary driving force three years ago when they started the hiring process all over again with Meyer out of the organization. As much [BLEEP] as I give Pederson and his inability to find the right defensive staff to bail his [BLEEP] out?

He did Khan a favor coming here if we're being honest. They interviewed eight different candidates in total back in 2021.

I think TL has all kinds of untapped potential. I just don't know if being in Jacksonville is the place that can bring it out in him. I think a fresh start on a new team that isn't so dysfunctional would do him worlds of good. I would hate to see him go, but I would also hate to see him stay and fail.

Could be just like Alex Smith's career with the 49ers and Chiefs. We'll see. We have him until he's at least close to 30 years old for the time being on paper at least. A lot can change (in a good way hopefully) between now and then.
