Lee's WOW day

I guess Derrick Henry is better than Zeke since he did better in college.....

Well, I disagree with him... but literally the better player was Lee. Not talking production, who was the better talent

You disagree with me asking why Lee can't be better?

Do explain

Quote:Whoa now... I actually don't think Lee can be as good as ARob. You think Lee can put up 80 for 1,400 and 14 TDs? I don't think so.

I don't necessarily think he WILL be. But I think he CAN be, talent wise.

His skillset is something we don't have elsewhere on the roster, he's probably our most dangerous receiver in space and our fastest top end guy. The problem is health. He was considered to be the best WR in all of college football before his last year, which I know does not equal NFL results.

I just think Lee is a special talent and has the potential to be that good. Though in this offense with the others he'll be fighting against just to be on the field, he'll likely never have a chance to get up to those level numbers just due to the other talent around him.

They show Lee catching a long TD.  Maybe he caught several TDs yesterday.

Well stated. I concur, and appreciate the measured use of words.

Also, you have a screen name similar to our original 'father' of the board, the great Skeeter Rob. Before FBT's meticulous coup d'etat...

Never seen you around before like today, surprised you've been on board a while.

If you know it doesn't equal NFL results, why bring it up?

Maybe Lee can be better than them but basing that statement off of college results doesn't make sense.

The screen name actually came about on this board awhile back, it's an anagram of Blake Bortles

And I was mvannostran on here until I had it changed about 2 weeks ago.

To show that he has pedigree, and has been at the top of the echelon in his football life.

What's often funny and makes sense is when the party that misses it says it doesn't.

He didn't 'base a statement off of college results'. He inferred that Lee has the potential to be as good/better due to predigree, past success, and measurables. Not a competition of who's better. They are all ours, in this case. However, what's the deal with 'better' around here? The complex is real.

The year prior to his injury Lee was billed as a top 5 pick. The dude is scary talented.

Indeed. This goes to the entire team. Pieces all over the place. Now mesh it up and get the tastiest dish.

To add to things, Bryan Walters absolutely refuses to go away. He has looked excellent in OTAs and catches EVERYTHING thrown at him, as has been his MO since he's been here. He will be a really hard player to cut from this roster, and I expect that he will not be. It's strange to think of how loaded the WR position can be now. So many of us thought it was an impossibility for quite some time. Nice to see Lee stepping up and showing something too. Here's to him staying healthy.

You got me there. I meant to add another sentence on the end of that statement but got distracted at work.

I mention the college aspect just because you can compare talent levels there based on route running, hands, speed, etc. Observed talent in the NFL is another story, but since I was mainly talking about raw talent of Lee, his college accolades at the very least show that he has a certain talent/skillset that other receivers don't have.

Good stuff. So it's pretty much ARob, Hurns, Lee, Greene, Walters/Benn (who we like)/all else for 5th/6th spot. Would they keep 6? Can Benn stick? Collarbone woe behind him now.

Essentially same corps as last year, growth in itself, each with different/special skill sets.
