Not sure why everyone is joking and saying cut him and stuff like that. That's not was I was implying at all. Just found it really interesting that he lost over 20 pounds.

I think NYC said it, but I would be that he is going to get closer to 230 for the season also.

I totally ruined this call reading this hilariousness when my line beeped.  I'm still laughing at this ignorance.

That makes sense.  The scale was set at Kilograms.

He's actually at 487 pounds right now.  He should be able to get down to his playing weight of 245 pounds by August.   Whew ... I was worried there for a while.

Quote:The game is uh changin bruh. That's big enough for a linebacker these days. Teams emphasize speed much more than size. This ain't your grandpappy's NFL anymore.
Maybe in Madden but a 220 pound LB is going to get blown away playing strong side or middle linebacker when a 6'4" 260 TE comes a blocking down in him. I'd run it right at him all day.

Quote:221 is like Telvin Smith weight. That seems too small to play strong side or middle. Am I missing something? Sure he will be fast but will he hold up in the run?

Telvin Smith weight is more like 210

He's listed at 218. I think he was 210 in college.

Jones is a playmaker and had a nice statline this year but you do know that Atlanta was 26th in yards per attempt rushing (4.5 YPC)? Their offense was good enough that teams were forced to throw the ball more. They were soundly middle of the pack 15-18 in rushing touchdowns given up and total rushing. It's not like the Atlanta run defense was anything to write home about despite the nice stat line for Jones. He's great in passing situations though.

More so the DLine was terrible at run defense.

Jones defense against the run and the teams defense against the run arent the same thing.
