Quote:The power that a Clinton or trump presidency would have to get us into yet another war is a very real thing ..

Quote:Yes, because we all know the President has little effect on anything like Foreign Policy or say... Supreme Court Nominees.

Oh, I share your concerns, but at this point the only thing I can do is vote for a 3rd party candidate and chuckle at the absurdity. One or the other will be our next president.

I was joking about preferring Trump.

I don't think that he's smart (or dumb) enough to do such a thing.  However given the two choices, I would probably go with...

This is the sad reality.  Unlike you, I am not chuckling though.  Our country is going straight down the tubes and clear thinking people can do nothing to stop it.

Quote:Time for you to jump on the Trump Train! He is the only candidate that is for the people. He is really rich, believe me, so he doesn't need to answer to the lobbyists, donors, or special interests like Crooked Hillary or Lyin Ted. We will build a great great wall and Mexico will pay for it. It's gonna be YUUUUUUUGE.

Not sure if serious or just an amazing parody...

Isn't it sad that there isn't a "Democracy" option?  Or a "Middle Class" option?

That, to me, is the saddest thing.

Of course, I think there are certain candidate that would do less harm to my class than others, but that's for another thread.

I appreciate your meme, JaguarWarrior.  It really is a good one.

Seriously?  You don't think that a megalomaniac would not stumble into WWIII?  Have you never thought through geopolitical politics in your 100 years on this earth?

I mean, seriously, maybe you should stop complaining about young people's trophy collections and college kid's social gatherings on campus and start thinking about your future, Grampa...

In no way will I vote for that man. I'm Libertarian and that is how I will vote. If Trump appears to be the answer for some folks good for them. I'm not one of them.

Just as I thought, total lightweight. The libertarians have no chance at stumping Trump. Sad!

Just because you can't win doesn't mean you compromise your principles. That's something only Trump, Clinton, Sanders, Cruz, Rubio...pretty much every damn politician on Earth does. It's not a behavior us normal people engage in.

Whatever man. Why am I going to vote for someone I loathe and who I think is going to drive this country into the dirt if he wins? Everyone with a clear mind thinks he's a diversion to Clinton anyway being as he's a big supporter of theirs. But who knows what will happen? At any rate it's not about stumping anyone, it about voting for who you believe is best for this country and none of the Dems nor Reps have shown in any capacity that they are.

No we don't and honestly Im starting to think he will win. And when populism blows up in your face I'll sit here and ask you why you traded conservatism for populism compromised principle for victory what did you gain?

Sure he does, but he gave up his Democrat credentials to try and be president.

Ding... ding... ding...  Winner winner chicken dinner.

Our current "american idol" president is a disaster.  IF the next one (Trump) does actually pull off a win it will probably be worse.

Sadly, it appears to be more about voting for who you believe will do the least damage to this country.

Ted Cruz quit leaving only Kasich as the person between Donald Trump and the GOP nomination.

Sadly this is truer than I even like to think about.
