Jags had many offers for Ramsey

#21

Hahaha, 6 months old the last time.  That's phenomenal.

Jerry didn't make that team, Jimmy Johnson did.  If it weren't for him, Jerry would be at 0.

Well it would of been 99. Had the D Coordinator not stolen our playbooks.

According to Adam Scheftler on NFL Insiders at minimum the Ravens, 49ers, and Bears all made offers for the 5 spot, all trying to take Jalen Ramsey.

I'm glad we took the guy instead.

The Bears did too. We got very very lucky.

Dave wasn't gonna let any trade talk get between him and the Prize.  Ramsey is as good a draft pick as you'll find.

Ramsey said not even a minute into the Jags turn to pick his phone rang. Glad we got the best player in the draft! If we get Jack or Spence it would be a great win for us! A+ draft for sure.

It's been reported that multiple teams are trying to work out a trade with Cleveland.  I suspect the new info about Jack has teams lining up to grab him.  The Jags might be in that mix.

Never argue with idiots. They drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

A gift card for a face lift or a hundred.

If it turns into a bidding war I'd rather the Jags sit tight and just take Spence.

You can have all the picks in the world but you still have to hit on those picks.

I agree completely...

No need to give up a bevy of picks now that multiple teams may be at play for #32.

I understand that. It's just that they are trying something completely different.

Quote:I simply can't understand Dallas not wanting to move.  It was only to 6, and nobody else was coming up for their RB.

If he had moved down to #6, then someone could have traded with us for #5 and taken Zeke Elliott.

I don't think there is any new news about Jack, except that he does not need surgery right now.   But no one ever said he did.

I am glad they didn't trade back, because I think jalen Ramsey will be a player that we will remember forever...

If you read the MMQB, the Cowboys were real close to working out a trade with Baltimore in the first round. Jerry wanted to drop and pick up a 3rd, which they would've used to move back into the 1st to get Paxton Lynch. Baltimore only wanted to part with a 4th so Dallas told them to call back if they changed their mind. Time starting to run low on the clock and they ended up just going with Elliott.

I am very thankful for the Cowboys between staying put at 4 for a RB and drafting the other injured LB over our guy.

I've also read that Bosa going at 3 factored in because it made Dallas slightly more uncomfortable trading back to 6, knowing we were much more likely to trade back from 5 if no Bosa or Ramsey. Allowing a team to trade up for Elliot.
