Quote:Says who? Media? Can he rush the passer? Is he great at stopping the run? Does he have a non stop motor? Does he make all the tackles?

look from 216 on? Show me where you see he is heads above everyone in the draft?

What I see isnt even close to thomas. And couldnt hold Neon Dion shoes. Not hating. Just honest.

Says me and apparently 7/19 nfl evaluators http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000656310/article/jalen-ramsey-voted-drafts-top-player-in-poll-of-19-nfl-evaluators.

Sure you wanna know why though? How many good safeties are there? Compared to other positions? Would I want Ramsey? Yes. At 5 nooo.

You don't pay a non play maker top 5 money. But if you dont believe me. Put on tape of Tenn Eric Berry. And compare.

There you go. Tell me how Ramsey is better then Berry?

Seriously you're quoting YouTube career highlights which is the most bias form of analysis. Hell Gabbert looked a top 10 pick from his highlights!

The guy is extremely versatile and you have a Charles Woodson esque player. He's great in coverage has the speed to cover the field for a FS and best yet has the NFL smarts to make an impact immediately.

Skill set alone dont mean squat. He is hyped do to need. He is NOT better then Thomas or Berry and is NOT the best player in the draft.

I'm an FSU grad and avid fan (and, therefore, an avid Jalen Ramsey fan); however, I have some concerns about drafting Ramsey at #5. His athleticism is off the charts, and there's some things that he does very, very well. Like fighting off blocks to make a tackle, for example. But, ball skills? I can't tell you how many interceptions I saw him drop this past season. And only three for his career.

The one ray of hope that I have is that I think he was playing out of position last year. I don't think he's a natural corner. He seemed much more effective in previous seasons playing free safety, etc. So, if we do draft him, I hope that it's in some sort of a FS/nickel role, not to play cornerback.

We already have a ballhawk safety (Gipson) so if that Ramsey's biggest knock I don't mind.

So who is the best player in the draft?

Jack or Ramsey and I'd be very happy. The defense would be better.

Quote:As long as he is playing corner and not safety I guess I'd be ok with it. Just don't expect many picks from him with the way he has to fight with the ball to get it into his hands.

Jalen Ramsey said he wants to be a cornerback.

As for who I want, give me Bosa if he is available or Myles Jack if he is not. We still need another very good DE because Malik Jackson's job apparently will be DT.

Why would it be anything but?

I think he would really like to play FS. But he knows that CB is more valuable than FS especially for height and weight. He would be the perfect corner. He will end up playing corner.

Yes, and that's precisely where I'd put him to start out his rookie season. I hear some saying that's too high for a SS, but he's not just a SS...he's a great player...and some of the league's best defenses have had elite SS. Ramsey is an intimidating force with CB speed. He wouldn't merely be a starting SS...he'd be an elite SS.

Virtually every db wants to be a cb, but in the end they all play where they're told to play.

Also, watch his quick video on the front page and he says he's fine playing S or even nickel.

If he's there at 5, you have to take him. It's a shame about Jack's uncertainty since he would have been the best fit, but Ramsey is a close 2nd. All other potential picks have questionmarks so I wouldn't trade down if he's there.

I'm an FSU fan/grad too and you summed up my thoughts nicely. Anyone who saw Ramsey play last year knows he's not as versatile as many think. I'd like him at FS though.

A big shame indeed. Now Mike Mayock thinks his knee is so bad he will drop out of the top 10.

What comes before the ? is the important thing. Every player has question marks - some more than others.
