How do they pick the Monday and Sunday night games? Do they base it on winning teams only? A lot of people seem to agree on Raiders for Monday night, how is that? Are Sunday night games harder to be in compared to Monday night?

My predictions:

I bet we get a military appreciation home opener with it being 911 since we have a big presence here in Jax. Then two away games. Then our 'home' game in London. Then the bye. Then a two game home stretch but one is a Thursday night game.

Since the time that NBC won the rights for Sunday Night games,   SNF is considered the grand NFL stage of the week.   Hence,  it's more difficult to get on SNF than MNF these days,

The better a team did the previous season,  the more likely that team will be on SNF football at least once.   Some teams with double digit losses end up on SNF,  not factoring in flexed games later in the season.   Almost always,  those are teams that are either in very large markets or amongst the most popular teams in the NFL.

The reason why in my opinion we get a monday night vs the raiders because the story lines are too great to pass on it. Two teams that we're the story of the off-season with two young franchise qb's in Bortles and Carr. In addition, the star power on the offensive side of the ball is too good to not display on Monday night in our case the allens, thomas, yeldon, ivory  and in the raiders case cooper, crabtree, murrary and the offensive line. I'm not including the stars on defense for both teams and it would be a good way to show case jacksonville on espn for the first time since 2011 during the gabbert era. Yuck. lol.

if i have to walk that dog any day we play we don't have a chance to win at all. its impossbille. If i don't have to walk him it could go either way.  Walking that dog is a guranteed  lose for any sports team i cheer for.

I've been praying for this to happen. If the NFL was smart, they would make it a primetime game.

Amazingly though,   there was at least one NFL team that played 6 straight games away from their home stadium.    The Jets played their first 6 games in 1973 away from Shea Stadium because the Mets made it to the World Series that season.    In those days,  because of the terms of their lease,  the Jets couldn't play a home game at Shea Stadium until the Mets season was over.   The end result was the Steelers ended up with an extra game at Three Rivers Stadium.

I think the Saints in the aftermath of Katrina did something similar.

I recall the Saints having to play a home game against the Giants in Giants Stadium.   That meant they had to play 9 out of 16 games in the opposing stadium.    The Saints other home games were split between San Antonio and Baton Rouge,    Certainly a difficult season for the Saints on so many levels.
