Jags starting defense

Quote:I love how the backup DL is virtually just as good. Basically you have quite the rotation with...

1. DE Odrick, NT Miller DT Jackson LEO Fowler

2. DE Jackson, NT Jones, DT Marks LEO Bosa

Jackson would move to the 4-tech I'm thinking either with Marks or in the 3-LEO....

3rd down DL... DE Odrick DT Jackson DT Marks LEO Fowler

3-LEO... LEO Bosa DT Jackson LEO Davis LEO Fowler

The only question is how often Jackson would need to come out for a breather.

7&6 tech LE Odrick

3tech DT Marks

1Tech NT Miller

5 Tech DT Jackson

9Tech LEO Fowler

They'll use Fowler like Dwight Freeney in the above link example (DC said he'll move him around a lot though)

Miller's role remains the same 0/1 tech NT like Haloti Ngata in the example link above..

Marks remains a 3T DT, but Jackson going from 3-4 RE back to a DT I assume like a 5tech?

That could happen many think he would be better as a Safety...

When I heard the interviews, you know I got the feeling that the Jaguars really liked Bosa.. but the guy didn't even realize Jacksonville was along the water... sigh...

From the video clips of the visits Buckner kept talking about vibes, and said crazy like three times .. he seemed nevrous and very scripted.. felt bad for the guy... according to PFF..

https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/20...draft/They have Buckner

going #1 to the titans in this mock..

--

Noah Spence felt a lot of energy in this place and it wasnt from all the E he was on.. not sure why they would take him #5 overall... dont think fan base would be happy about it.

==============

LT Tunsil had a good interview, he could fall to the Jaguars at #5 would you be okay with him being the pick?  A couple other good LTs might be there in the 2nd round... not as good as Tunsil but still better than Luke

---------------

Vernon Hargreaves III had a very good interview, confident, real not scripted, man he's been very high on my list for Jaguars I would like to draft at #5 for a while but most say 5 is too high for him.... idk

-------

Myles Jack talked in 3rd person..strange... tons of questions for him

Joey Bosa didn't realize Jacksonville was along the water... oh boy.. sounds like he was talked to a lot about the defense though maybe they are really thinking he'll be there at #5...

After Malik was signed, Caldwell a few times referenced him playing the "4-B" gap, meaning inside the RT. I take it this is his specialty.

What if Cyprien is moved to Otto since he's good against the run but bad on the pass?  Then let Sample compete for the starting SS role with the draft pick that I'm sure will occur.

Stop with Cyprien to LB talk. I want LBers who can tackle and Cyp can't.

I don't think Bosa's not knowing where Jacksonville is in Florida is that unusual or even that big of a deal. Think about all 32 NFL cities and whether you can place them in their state. I would suspect that some of these guys couldn't even place the state in a blank map of the country.

It's a little unusual seeing how he's from Florida
