Joeckel, IMO, would be a worse liability than Beadles at guard.

I thought about adding him in there, but I'd have a hard time taking a guy who many are projecting as the equivalent of a 5-tech in the top five after adding two high-price 5-techs in the last two years. I like Lawson a lot, but that scares me a bit. I think we could trade back a bit and get him, which would make Tunsil option six at the fifth overall pick.

 

I haven't really heard anyone considering Lawson as a 5T since he's a pretty prototypical edge rusher. Even if people were saying he was a LDE in a 4-3, it would have been in a more standard 4-3 and not ours. There's no way Lawson is a 5T in our scheme.

If Joeckel loses the starting LT gig that is it, he will be a swing tackle as a backup for the rest of his career imo. I would rather see Bowanko get a shot at C/G than the Joke.
