He received a 2nd round grade prior to declaring for the draft.



This isn't any combine/pro day hype. He was getting high marks by actual NFL guys who make and have made draft day decisions.

Rang and Brugler STILL have him as a 6th rounder.

As they did two months ago.


Draftek puts him at #143 overall. That sure ain't the second round. (our 4th is #104 I believe)

I like Jenkins and Calhoun better in the second.

 

edit:  just watched Ngakoue's cut-up vs Ohio State.  I like the player.  But #70 - #110 seems more fitting to me than early in the second round.

You can't really say that on a game by game basis though, you have to look at the whole body of work.

 

Remember Eugene Monroe did completely no stat an in the middle of his prime Mario Williams twice...if you were watching those games you could easily come to the same conclusions that Mario should have been a late rounder.

Why not? I made the conclusion that he looked like a nobody against a good tackle in Decker. Nothing more nothing less.


He had a good game against Michigan states line but I wasn't talking about them.

That he was, slightly paraphrased, a nothing who might be ok in the 3rd or 4th based on some potential.

 

Are you trying to say you have watched significantly more of Ngakoue than that post suggested, or are you simply trying to be aggressive and combative to deflect that you made that conclusion based off of one tiny sliver of his entire body of work?
