Myles Jack is the obvious pick

I'm not saying it makes him undraftable with our first pick, so let's not go overboard.

It does count.  The question is, does the talent outweight it vs. alternatives?  We'll see.

Let's just not pretend like it's nothing at all.
If he goes out on his pro day the 15th and runs a 4.5/ 4.4 Im basically gonna rule the injury as a non factor. It is the first time he has ever been inured i his life so it isnt a popular thing with him. He said it feels good and it checked out at the combine, now just wait for him to blow the doors off at his pro day and he is my guy.

Myles Jack, Telvin Smith, Poz, Dante Fowler, and Bruce Irvin. I just like saying it. Pipe dream maybe.

Telvin/Jack/Irvin will be lethal. I'll be happy with Jack, Ramsey, or Bosa.

Hypothetically

-Myles Jack would be our Bobby Wagner

-Jalen Ramsey would be our Earl Thomas III

-Joey Bosa would be our Michael Bennet

Im a big fan of Ramsey and Jack mostly Jack bc of the lack of ints for Ramsey, but not a huge fan of Bosa. Most are, while I think he is good, I dont get the humongous amt of hype around him. Really cant go wrong at 5 tho.

We are sitting at a spot where great value should meet one of our biggest needs regardless which of the three fall to #5.

Myles Jack is the obvious pick IF we sign Olivier Vernon or Malik Jackson, and Bruce Irvin, and Eric Weddle.

I mean, seriously, how can we even say who the "obvious" pick is when we haven't had free agency yet?

Had close to 75% of my meniscus removed from my right knee, it's not a serious injury I was running in a matter of weeks. The only issue that can come from it is osteo-arthritis down the road if you remove enough of the cartilage pads. Which in Jacks case it doesn't sound like they removed much.

I just hope we use free agency to draft best available player, I'd hate to miss out on a guy like Jack just because we are desperate for a pass rusher and reach for one.

Agree.  Right now there are 3-4 "obvious" choices (and I do include Jack among them,) but there's so much to consider, and so much yet to happen.

This certainly doesn't seem like the Fischer or Joeckel draft.

3-4 top prospects at 3-4 need positions.  Should be an exciting draft.

A domino effect may impact our first selection, and our first selection may heavily impact our second pick.

Myles Jack is my number one guy right now too! I'm conserned about Dallas possibly drafting him though. Bosa or Spence would be my 2nd choice.

He had a meniscus repair which long term will be a lot better than what you described.

I agree that Jack seems like a special talent. I haven't seen much of his videos but I think it speaks volumes to be pac12 offensive and defensive player of the year

SuperJville,

My initial impression of Mack is that he had a lot of athleticism and speed, but that would translate into not being particularly physical and undersized.

However, doing more research, I see that he is a solid 245 lbs on a 6-1 frame.

He is quite physical, and he delivers shots to guards regularly, despite being athletic enough to line up on slot receivers.

I would be quite comfortable with Jack at #5, with a LB trio of Irvin Jack and Smith.

He's bigger than Luke Kuechly!

Quote:Hasn't there been a ton of buzz around him to Dallas at #4 though? I mean Jerry said he isn't going QB. Doubt they go safety at #4 either, although you never know for sure. Their line is set so no Stanley.
Provided they don't land a big time DE in FA, Dallas will take Bosa at #4.  If they do land a top DE, then Jack will probably be their pick.  That leaves us with Ramsey if Chargers don't take him, or Bosa.

EDIT:  Cowboys have very little cap space.  Forget them signing a top DE.  Bosa will be the pick there.

Not if we sign a top DE in FA.

So many things could still happen.

I'd prefer a DE or CB, but MLB could help big time too. Guy seems like a can't-miss more and more lately.

You can't go wrong with Ramsey or Jack, IMO.

If Ramsey is there, he is a Jag. Unless, of course, they trade down.

We're picking at 5

Assuming the browns take a qb I'd be happy with any of the other top 5 players

Tunsil

Jack

Bosa

Ramsey

Any way you look at it we are pretty well off
