He can't totally be averse to scheme adjustment, can he?

According to Alfie*, Fisch was fired on orders from up high. That's probably true of Babich too, since he was Bradley's best friend.

*I know Alfie can be an idiot, but he's adamant that he had inside info on this. I tend to believe him in this case.

Are we to actually believe that... the GM is actually responsible for the things that... the GM is responsible for?

The coaches as well as the players?

I want to see the "L's" adjusting into "W's". That's the adjustment I want to see.

Can Gus get that one done?

We'll see next season won't we?

I survived the Gus Bradley Error.

Quote:Or you can see how some weaknesses at some positions make successful adjustments impossible, either on their own or to offset opposing adjustments elsewhere.

A team can make good adjustments and still lose, and make no adjustments and still win.  Case in point the first ever Monday Night game in Jaguars history against the Steelers.  Brackens dominated Steelers' LT John Jackson in the first half.  In the second half, Cowher decided to chip Brackens with a RB going out on pass routes (something I wish Bradley and Co. considered against Houston in that last game) and minimized Brackens' impact in the second half.  The Steelers still lost the game despite the good adjustment.
You have to remember that in the Houston game they had Sam Young who they needed to help in protection..

There just aren't enough players to slide help to both tackles. You design the protection to help the weaker guy and hope the other can hold his own. Unfortunately, it didn't appear Joeckel was up to the task.

It fits what we know of Gus so far, which is that he thinks he has the right answer, and if it proves to be wrong instead of figuring out where he's wrong in getting to that answer and figuring out the right answer he just keeps running the scantron through the grader and hoping it'll eventually say he was right all along.

After he's fired at the end of the season he needs to try and get a job with the Bucs.

In an unexpected move, the other team has just placed an X in the lower, left square, threatening three in a row. Coach Bradley is seen here quickly adjusting his defense by putting an O in the top right square.

If we do it like WhichWich?, then the guys can pre-order their own cone configurations for halftime.

Why not the last 3 years the way some people try to spin things on here...?

Look we are all fans (except for a few minor trolls) coming on this message board, so to say comments don't come with a bit of bias would be misleading.

We all want HC Gus Bradley & GM Dave Caldwell to succeed and be the guys we had hoped for 3 years ago but heading into the 4th season it's up to them to prove it.

Go Jags!

I disagree with the above, Gus would try to go for the middle square despite an X being there!

Yes, exactly. For the record:

By my count, we scored more points in the second half in 11 of 16 games in 2015, including 8 of the last 9 games. Of those 8 last games, we held the opposing team's offense in the second half to less than we scored in the second half.

Can you get Coach of the Year and still be invited to be the HC at the Senior Bowl?  If not, he'll have to decline the Coach of the Year honor.

Correct.  That was a severe weakness in the past but last year, they actually changed according to what was impacting the 1st half results.  The 1 exception late in the year was the final game vs the Texans.  The players quit on Bradley in the final week.

Obviously whatever the coaches did in the way of adjustments only worked five times last year

Good thing we can "adjust" the defensive roster over the offseason. Smile
