Trump Explained

Quote:

In reality, its anyone who thinks anyone running on either ticket is more Qualified than Trump, to represent this country's economic interests in trade negotiations, that's crazy.

Call me crazy.

How-trump-bungled-the-deal-of-a-lifetime

Not only does Trump completely overstate his prowess on deal making, as he does for all his claims, if its Trump vs. Hilary, one of the candidates will have a lawsuit against him.

I said him, not her.

Lawsuit against fraudulent Trump University

Trump is a fraud, and most of the electorate know it. Even those voting for him are just overlooking this for sake of spite, anger, and hope for change.

Ah yes, Trump University. A few students who blame Trump on their own utter incompetence hire a known unethical lawyer to file a lawsuit. Weird that this is suddenly a "big deal" after Trump wins a landslide victory in Nevada when this case has been going on for how long? 4 years? It is a losing effort, but just another attempt by the media to try and take down the candidate they cannot control.

As for the "deal of a lifetime", Donald Trump has made thousands of deals over his lifetime and owns over a hundred businesses. Suddenly this one deal discredits all his past work? Get a grip. If one bad deal makes or breaks a candidate, then literally none of the presidential candidates deserve the position of President. Hell, Hillary Clinton could (and should) be indicted on charges of mishandling top secret documentation. Regardless, the author of TrumpNation has no credibility.

Want to talk about bad deals? Ted Cruz voted for TPA leading to an easy passage of TPP, the WORST TRADE DEAL in the history of the United States. Marco Rubio also voted for TPA. Those are worse deals than Trump could ever hope to make.

He's got you fooled, that's for sure.

When he had his casinos on the NYSE, a number of managers were so sure of Trump's incompetence that I used to get newsletters advising me to short his stock.

I should've. It predictably went to zero, losing a bunch of money for the small investor that believed in him. Trump himself, of course, lost nothing but his hefty salary as CEO.

This guy is not the dealmaker he would have you believe. He is not the builder he'd have you believe. He's not the self-made man he'd have you believe. He's L. Ron Hubbard with a bad hairstyle, a rich daddy, a Manhattan address and a reality show, and he's hardly unique in building a cult of personality by blaming "others" for his followers' misfortunes and claiming that everyone who disagrees with him is a loser/liar/idiot/traitor.

He is the most unworthy candidate since Al Sharpton, and one of the least qualified people to seek the post in my lifetime.

So.... you are voting for Trump?

Any "non-politician" would be having the success The Don is having right. Can you imagine if you swapped out Trump for Mark Cuban right now? People are tired of it and using their voice.

I knew someone was going to pull this card, eventually.

Yes, Donald Trump is more successful than me, even using the metric of percentage of Daddy's wealth. His Daddy gave him millions of dollars to start out, my Daddy gave me hundreds. He's now worth somewhere between 2 to 8 billion, I am not. I have also not made tons of dough by ripping off my investors.

He's more successful than you, too. The difference is, I sure as hell don't believe for a minute he has any interest in doing anything other than taking my money and giving me nothing in return.

I also believe he'll do the same thing for you. I'm trying to save you, jj.

"I deserve to be president because I'm really really rich!" just doesn't work with me. I'm not surprised it works with some of us, but I am surprised with how many otherwise intelligent people are buying it.

Your beliefs. You don't have objective proof of that. What makes you more qualified on understanding what Trump will do than the rest of us? Because you believe everything Murdoch media tells you? Personally, I believe the opposite based on my own independent research. Also, I definitely don't believe you could have turned millions into billions.

You dont build wealth (outside of hedge fund managers and creative equity options and positions) by ripping people off! You had to create value for your consumer to get them to patronize your business and you have to create value for your employees to get them to work for you.

Donald trump built things and served people with tens of thousands of employees all over the world. Hes not just sitting in a room making billions shorting the dollar like george soros or selling influence like the clintons.

Hes tangiably demonstrated the accument to create favorable positions for his companies accross state and international lines. Hes not percect hes just really really good.

It stands to reason that his skill set is better suited to represent this countrys economic interests, i dont know, better than some ex lawyer political hack who made her career protecting predators and pedophiles!!!!

You've just defined the central belief of the left. It drives their every thought and action.

This. He is not perfect. He is flawed. He doesn't pretend to be perfect like much of the current candidates. I also don't agree with some of his policy. But I trust him, a businessman, more than any of the lawyers running.

What's so sad is that as bad as Trump is, he'd be less destructive to our country than the current president and either of the candidates he'd be running against, assuming he is nominated.

We're in a bad spot, and there's no clear path to healing. Only which will be less further destructive.

One can hope but I'm not so sure he won't be as every bit destructive as Obama has been.

Who's going to run trumps business while he's president? Or is he going part time in the presidency?

Love the overrating of Trumps business skills too. May as well get someone like Shad at least he came from nothing, a much harder task.

Obviously doesn't require a great skill set if anyone in the family can. Must be great being born into privilege

Again with this businessman nonsense.

He is a I'll -screw-over-anyone, fly-by-the-seat of my pants, no one will ever call me out, reckless with the truth, say anything, consequences be dammmed, person.

That doesn't work with issues that affect more than dollars.

When you can't just walk away, or file bankruptcy, everything changes.

Look at the great business decision he made in the USFL, being that we are on a football website.

He just decided to do what he wanted, break their own rules for his own reasons, screw all of his partners, leading to the demise of the whole thing....

But that's ok, I guess, because he sued and got a fantastic result for all of them-

http://articles.latimes.com/1986-07-30/sports/sp-18643_1_jury-finds-nfl-guilty

Yeah, if you want a guy with a history of never thinking about anyone else and being willing to sell everyone and anyone for whatever reason happens to be occupying your head at the moment......

It takes huge skill being born into millions/billions and making money...

Think some people are quite easily impressed.
