If the Jags blow a third-round pick on Derrick Henry, it's a very bad sign for T.J. Yeldon.

I don't think you need to worry about that.

 

The only offensive position that could be drafted in the first 3 rounds I think is interior lineman.

 

Should be defense the first 3 picks.... probably even 4.

Agreed. We can say it's a luxury, but a lethal passing game and a 1-2 punch with those RB's could make our offence legitimately elite. I wouldn't say no to that, especially in the 3rd round. Filling in needs isn't the only way to make a team better.

Depending on FA... we may have the luxury of taking a selection like that in the 3rd.

 

 

moot anyways... Henry won't be there and I assume we'll still be looking for defensive help.

Ex-NFL personnel man Bryan Broaddus compared Alabama RB Derrick Henry to famed Bears draft bust Curtis Enis.


Broaddus tweeted that he worries about 6-foot-3, 238-pound Henry "getting bigger and slower," and noted Henry's game tape reveals an oversized running back who "doesn't create," and needs "a lane to get going." Broaddus was hired by Hall of Fame GM Ron Wolf in Green Bay before spending time scouting for the Eagles, Jaguars, and Cowboys. The No. 5 overall pick in the 1998 draft, 250-pound Enis lasted just four seasons in the NFL, averaging 3.3 yards per carry.

Brandon Jacobs clone. Would compliment Yeldon great and clean up some redzone issues. If he's our 2nd rounder you can't be upset with him.


However you can be upset that we didn't address our talent on the defensive side of the ball. This club has a lot more talent needs to fill on the other side of the ball.

Curtis Enis.   "Sometimes God's greatest gifts are unanswered prayers." 

 

I know most of you know this already, but for those of you who don't, when Curtis Enis was in the draft, Tom Coughlin wanted to trade two first round picks, #9 and #20, to Chicago for pick #5, so he could draft Curtis Enis.   Chicago turned him down.  So Coughlin used the picks to draft Fred Taylor and Donovan Darius.
