Jaguars coaching staff to coach in senior bowl for third straight year
|
Quote:Ben Koyack and Chris Smith as well. Hayes Pullard, Jordan Tripp, Craig Loston, Shaq Evans, and Nick Marshall were undrafted players from the Senior Bowl. I think once Evans learns the offense he could prove to be a decent pick up We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Orange you glad I didn't say .......BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I CANT EVEN FINISH IT....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Quote:Why do we always coach at the Senior Bowl without having one of the top two picks in the draft?probably because the coaches ahead of us were either fired and or didn't want too.

Last team to coach three straight Senior Bowl were 49ers after 2005, 06 and 07 seasons. Coach Mike Nolan was fired mid-season 2008. #Jaguars Quote:Ryan O'Halloran (@ryanohalloran) tweeted at 6:27 PM on Thu, Jan 07, 2016: <a class="" href='https://twitter.com/HaysCarlyon'>Hays Carlyon @HaysCarlyon </a> <a class="" href='https://twitter.com/HaysCarlyon/status/685241096906084352' title="5:26 PM - 7 Jan 2016">2h</a> <a class="" href='https://twitter.com/HaysCarlyon/status/685241096906084352' title="5:26 PM - 7 Jan 2016">2 hours ago</a> <p class="" style="color:rgb(41,47,51);font-family:'Helvetica Neue', Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">"We don't want to make coaching in the Senior Bowl a habit." Remember Jaguars: Super Bowl, not Senior Bowl.

Quote:Not a fan of facts? Lighten up. It's all in perspective. The season is already over. At this point, an announcement of once again being the team that coaches one side of the senior bowl is in fact good news. I know we can't have any of that around here, but it is what it is. Bradley needs all the practice he can get, right? Let me ask you this: Will you be rooting for the team to fail next year so Bradley gets canned? His family must dislike him by now though having to work the entire year. At this point, I dont even know if another 4 win season even gets him canned.
Quote:Do you think that Bradley is a good enough coach to get us a Super Bowl victory? I don't know. Who is a candidate that we could definitely bring in right now that you think would be able to?
Quote:It's embarrassing, honestly. 3rd time. Like really. Clearly the first 2 gave us real insight and advantage to pick outside the top 10. Why is it embarrassing? Working at the Senior Bowl helped us a lot the last two years. I think the Chargers made a big mistake by pulling out. They need to look at those players.

He's not technically available right now but I think Hue Jackson is one. Adam Gase intrigues me but I'm not sure it's quite his time yet. Lovie Smith with the right coordinators would give us a considerably better chance. I still think with the right compensation Sean Payton could be had. I think Tom Coughlin could still do it.
Just some prospective here, This is really good obviously due to how we've benefited from the senior bowl in the past (Linder, Tripp, T. Smith, Colven, etc.). Those draft pics were amazing. I expect more in a season where we need as much help as possible on both lines and defense as a whole. We need to hit on those mid-round picks.
With that said, 2016 would be the perfect year for the Jaguars to launch. No more picking in the top 16. No more "but we're making progress" excuses. Its time to fly. I'd really like it if the man who was dragged through the dirt by fans, media, etc. gets to enjoy the pure satisfaction it would be bring once we get into the playoffs again. He has to earn it though. Otherwise in 2017, We'll hire a coach who will inherit a solid roster and a top 5 QB. I have 110% faith in Caldwell to build us a superbowl quality roster so ultimately, I don't care what coach gets us to the promise land because its gonna happen.
Can't wait to see whats next.
