Quote:That can be said with every sport with playoffs in place. Hell, look at March Madness. 64 teams? Or was it 32?

No idea anymore..

Isn't it some weird number like 68 now?

Good point, and that's the Nature of the Beast I guess, but I'd rather have A playoff than the damnable BCS.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.

Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say!

Quote:While I like (love!) the idea of college football playoffs, and I like the idea of an expanded field just as much, I feel like these games show that there probably aren't six to eight "playoff worthy" teams out there.

Last year when Baylor and TCU were shut out of the playoffs, everybody was complaining about having only four teams in it. There definitely were more than four teams that deserved to get in. I think that will happen every year and the CFP will expand to eight teams when they realize four is not enough.

Totally bogus penalty. He hit the quarterback's ribs and never got close to his helmet.

Isn't targeting going after a player with the crown of your helmet, not just head to head contact though?
What in the Wide Wide World of Sports is agoin' on here???

It's really quite simple, when you duck your head to use the crown of your helmet to drive it into a player, you are essentially turning your helmet into a weapon. If you keep your head up, it's almost impossible to launch yourself into the player and you are far more inclined to use your shoulder pad to make the tackle, which is proper technique. Doesn't matter where you hit the player, a helmet slamming into any part of a player hurts a whole lot more, and thus, drastically increases the chance for injury. For both players.

I know Joey Bosa is smarter than that. The constant replays of that penalty are making everyone forget he had a great game until the referee called his number.
