I watched it again and both ARob and Julius both ran hooks in the middle of the field at the first down line. So they essentially ran into each other. Not one receiver looked back for a quick pass knowing that the blitz was coming.

That's where Hurns would have been good at in those situations.  He's good at sight adjusting and reading defenses.

Quote:Less than a minute left. No timeouts. We needed as many yards as possible to get into field goal range. Why call a screen pass?

Because a screen pass against an all out blitz can go for big yardage ..Maybe put us in FG range or possibly a TD..It was 4th down! also//n Do you even FOOTBALL?

Quote:Terrible play call.. They knew the overload blitz was coming why not throw a screen to Yeldon or and short dump off pass to beat the blitz ?  I don't get it that was terrible.
The Jaguars (4-8) failed at the chance to sweep Tennessee for the first time since 2005 (is the headline on NFL.com)

Sad, the Jaguars Pass Defense is a joke making teams look like superstar QBs against them each week for 3 years.. either Babich or Gus has to go...

ABOUT US
The Jungle Forums is the Jaguars' biggest fan message board. Talking about the Jags since 2006, the Jungle was the team-endorsed home of all things Jaguars.

Since 2017, the Jungle is now independent of the team but still run by the same crew. We are here to support and discuss all things Jaguars and all things Duval!
