Yes, it sucks that there are so many players between 4 and 35 that would be great picks, but none of then are worth #4 and none of them will be there at 35.

I don't see him as an OG at all. I see him as a decent LT, but if that doesn't work out, I see him as a really good RT. If he's there, I'd take him to replace Parnell.

I totally agree. I love Elflein and see him as the best Center prospect in several years, but I just don't see the Jags moving Linder from Center.

I think Taylor Moton should be our #1 target in the 2nd round.


1) Wouldn't be surprised if he beat out Parnell and started Day 1. He's that good.


2) If needs be he can probably move inside and play guard.


3) Not sure how many agree with me but I believe can can play LT in the NFL. Gives us cover for Albert who is quite injury prone.


The worst thing we can do this offseason would be to overlook the offensive line. If we can't run the ball next year and Bortles has to hero ball every game , we ain't going to win much, even with that defense.


Perhaps Parnell moves inside? Wouldn't hate it, he's a big aggressive guy , just has problems with smaller fast guys.

But we have that option. There's a few good centers out there like Elflein , Orlosky, or Fuller. As one poster noted in another thread it's about value at or selection not need.

I see him as a guard, just as good (or maybe even better) as Lamp.  Look at how he operates in space vs. how he operates in short distances.  He's not great when he's going against a top guy and they are out in space.  Not sure if it's a footwork thing or a mental thing, but he's inconsistent.  Now if he's in a smaller space or just gets his hands on you, it's game over for whoever is going against him, much the same with Lamp.

Why don't you see the Jags moving Linder back to the position where he is clearly more talented?  His best position is RG.  If Elflein is best Center prospect wouldn't that make sense?

This draft sets up perfectly for the Jaguars following their free agent haul. Other than quarterback, which is a whole other story, offensive line and running back are the most critical need areas. In round 1, Leonard Fournette will be the best available player on the board when they pick. After watching some of his highlights on this site, I just don't see where many can be down on this guy. The way he runs over defenders and rarely gets caught from behind make him a unique and rare talent at this position. 

 

There will be at least 2 or 3 excellent options for the offensive line in round 2. Lamp should be gone, but Feeney is 50/50 to be there while Dawkins and Moton may offer the most upside and can play guard or tackle. Despite re-signing Omamah, Shatley and Reed for depth, they could select another guard/center like Elflein, Siragusa or Pocic in the 3rd round.
