I have mccaffrey #1 but the argument can be made for Henry too.


He does have a lot of carries but he's been consistent against top talent. I think he's really good. I don't think he's great.


The thing about the Heisman is that stats and team performance come into play. That's the way it's been and it isn't changing this year. So why the surprise? There are always deserving players that don't really get the spotlight.

6 in one, half dozen the other. Henry leads the nation in yards, touchdowns, broke a record of one of the greatest Heisman winners of all time in a day where the pass is king. He's doing it against 8 man boxes, with at times, 9 guys within 7-8 yards of the line of scrimmage. They know he's getting the ball and he still produces, at a high success rate. Saying he isn't the top player at his position is an opinion, that won't win you a Heisman.

 

On top of that, the Heisman is more then stats, and Henry, as well as Cook, fit the mold of the Heisman committee's mission statement. But to say he is not deserving is foolish at best.

I know of only one arrest as well. Not saying it couldn't be possible that he's been arrested that many times, but that guy is always posting idiotic stuff. One of the worst gator homers on here, completely blind and delusional. Also, i agree that cook should not be considered for the heisman.
