The CHARGERS lost 8 games, not Philip Rivers.

Quote:Nonsense. If it is hard to be a Jaguars fan because we suck, you are a fairweather fan and only root for winning teams.

If you've been rooting for the Jaguars for 20 years then you aren't rooting for a winning team.

Oh. So the CHARGERS lost to 8 other teams but we lost today to Philip Rivers? Gotcha. Don't you have a cat to brush rather than post your ignorance?

We lost to the Chargers. Philip Rivers was a major reason for that, but not the only one.

So Philip rivers was a major reason we lost but not a major reason the chargers lost to 8 other teams? Good grief you are nonsensical.

Of course. Philip Rivers can't be a reason other teams beat the Chargers if he was a reason we lost to them. That would make no sense.

FYI cats are smart animals.

I actually watch football games. Sometimes it seems like others don't.

We couldn't generate a pass rush against backups. They didn't need to try to run because they knew they could get all day to throw. Ten days of rest. At home. And the team played some really uninspired football. It was awful. This team is a complete tease.
Only a chump boos the home team!

Quote:The opponent's record is completely irrelevant. So is San Diego's injury report. The only thing that matters is Philip Rivers is the quarterback. Why am I the only poster on this board who understands this?
1. Records are relevant

2. injuries are relevant

3. Rivers does not comprise the whole team; he's just very good at taking advantage of other teams weaknesses.

4. because you're premise is wrong to begin with.

Quote:We can't even beat a 2 win team on a 6 game losing streak at home, with no recievers and a 2nd string oline. The team is poorly coached and will not get over the hump with Bradley running the show.

When I first saw the schedule for this season, i had figured the Chargers would be loss because of Philip Rivers.  The team has failed to prove that they can stop a good passing team for the last few years they've been the worst at geting INTs every year for 3 years & worst at PD among DBs (exception House doing good this year but not consitent).

True that.  He's  a really good QB, his Oline is slightly better than the Jaguars with way worse WRs.. but Jaguars DBs are so weak and the lack of pass rush in this game was really bad by the Jaguars that PR was able to destroy the Jaguars ....

Oh well... part of it is Gus and Babich being out coached.

I rarely look at teams records. I look at match ups. Many people predicted a bad match up for the jags this week.

True. This team still cannot stop a good passing team. That's why i am also predicting losses to the Saints and Falcons.
