Maybe I should have what you're smoking if you think Bortles had a good game today.

Quote:I don't remember the play you speak of but the Chargers oline legit held on every play of the game.
Real talk. The Rivers run on 4th and 7 there was a real nasty one.

Huh? Obviously it was not good enough to win because we lost.

Thought he played great. 87 QB rating.

I thought our defense played worse than ANY teams defense in the NFL today. FYI

Quote:Staring down your 1st read and not attempting to go through your progressions or look off the LBs and safeties isn't solid execution. Teo saw it just like the rest of the Chargers defense and made a play on the ball. He's been doing this since his rookie year. Eventually he needs to learn from his mistakes instead of repeating them.

We lost by 6. That pick gave the Chargers a free TD. Take away that play and we most likely win.
We didn't lose simply because of that pick. It certainly didn't help, but that one pick definitely wasn't the reason we lost. It was a typical Jags game, from a Jags team we've seen far too often this season. For multiple seasons honestly. 1 step forward, 3 steps back.

Quote:LOL yeah right. The Jags D CANT stop rIvers. They had zero chance. Bortles throws the ball 40 times a game and can't throw 1 INT? Funny how Peyton and Eli can.......you don't get it. The Jags D is awful. They can't stop anyone. 4 TDs and 300 yards for Rivers and you're talking about Bortles 1 INT....embarassing
His point is, it has been a common theme with Bortles and by far the biggest knock on him. He has far too many INTs with 2-4 minutes left in a half, or while we're in deep on our side of the field. He only had one INT today, you're right. It was at a terrible time and at a terrible place. 1 kind of INT that we've seen too often from Bortles so far in his young career.

BB5 did have a good game today.  Are you seriously saying that BB5 had a bad game?!?!?!

I think a jags fan wrote this weeks rotoworld analysis. They seem to think Bortles threw past line of scrimmage when he was about to make a first down on both occasions. All he did was make Myers kick 5 yards longer, both plays were stuffed.

I knew you were wrong about this...  But I wanted to make sure you were wrong.  Check the highlight at 1:03 of the video below.  BB5 DID NOT stare down the WR.

I'm not sure why you think it's important to lie about BB5's game in order to protect Gus Bradley from the heat he deserves.  But you need to stop falsifying the facts in order to protect your agenda.  Teo made a lucky read and a great play to get that INT.  Had nothing to do with staring down anything.

If I remember correctly, you were also the guy last year that was going to the mattresses to defend Jedd Fish.  Sometimes, you should just let go of your agenda and look at the facts.

LOL, right?

Those 2 plays where he was past the line of scrimmage were stuffed either way.  I would prefer him throw it away then get his bell rung, which was what would have happened if he held the ball.  I have no problem with either of those 2 plays...
