2016 Free Agents

Quote:This is a prime example of clear ineptitude from posters on the board hence why I've suggested numerous times that people don't know what they are talking about. Weddles been bad a couple years now and if I'm not mistaken, over the age of 30. And you want to give the man a Kam Chancellor type contract? Come on dude, I mean, I can't even......i really dont think you can read! Keep trying!! We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:With how good our team looks for the future. If hit on a couple of good draft picks, the return of Fowler, and get a few players from this LOADED 2016 free agency we could be a very good in 2016. J.R sweezy is dirt.
I think Gipson is better than he's played this year. He seems to want out of Cleveland bad, and it wouldn't surprise me if he was just looking out for his health at this point. That's not necessarily a ringing endorsement, but I'd still consider one of him or Eric Berry to be the priority this offseason. We need a ball hawk FS and a pass rush in the worst way.
Quote:LT is set with Parnell. ??? Lately, Parnell has barely been able to handle the RT position. You don't want him moving to LT.

Quote:We should get Weddle for his beard alone! He might be worth a look, although he sustained a groin inujury would need to be cleared by the medical staff. Also keep in mind the Chargers with their overly pathetic defense this year were shopping Weddle prior to the trade deadline.

Janoris Jenkins, Gipson, and Irvin. One of the 3 would be nice.
One thing is for certain...
Any defensive guys who are young, talented, looking to get paid, and want to win should 100% consider Jacksonville in FA. I'm excited to see what Dave does.
Shock the world

Go Jags!
*To stay up for atleast 2 years 3/6/17 2016 draft players I think will be good

I don't think Wilkerson gets re-signed. They have a lot invested in that Dline already, but I'm no miss Cleo so we'll have to wait and see. He would make for an outstanding addition to our Dline rotation, and the competition between him and Odrick for the LDE spot would be fun to watch.
Quote:I'd take anyone from Seattles Oline. Get some dang run blockers.the ones that have Wilson running for his life and can't protect? We already have some of those Quote:the ones that have Wilson running for his life and can't protect? Yeah Seattles OL is worse than ours. No thank you
I think Dwayne Allen would be a sneaky good target in free agency for our second, more traditional TE spot. Aside from this season in which he hasn't been involved in the passing game at all, he's been a pretty good red zone target throughout his career. He's also a very good run blocker which is definitely something we need to improve upon. Add in the fact that he's 25 years old and I think he would work well in our offense.

Looks like Von Miller may indeed hit the free agent market:

Quote:Looks like Von Miller may indeed hit the free agent market: Did you watch that game last night? We NEED him here. Watching him get after Tom Brady made me giddy at the thought of us having that type of pass rusher here. Quote:Did you watch that game last night? We NEED him here. Quote:Looks like Von Miller may indeed hit the free agent market: I'd still be shocked if he hit FA, if he does the Jaguars need to make him the highest paid defensive player in NFL history, he's THAT good and would wreak terror off the edge with Dante Fowler Jr.
My choices for Free Agents:
1. Tashaun Gipson - FS - Browns: 5' 11" 205 Lbs - 26 in 2016 - Contract: $8 Mil/Yr 2015 Stats: 7 Games: 32 TT - 2 Ints - 4 PD 2014 Stats: 11 Games: 52 TT - 6 Ints - 8 PD He wants to get paid and no way the Browns put the Franchise Tag on him 2. Olivier Vernon - DE (Leo) - Dolphins - 6'2" 275 Lbs - 26 in 2016 - Contract: $7.5 MIl/Yr 2015 Stats: 11 Games: 34 TT - 4 Sacks 2014 Stats: 16 Games: 46 TT - 6.5 Sacks Had 11 Sacks in 2013. Could be a valuable rotational Leo DE with Dante Fowler 3. Kelechi Osemele - OLG - Ravens - 6'5" 330 Lbs - 27 in 2016 - Contract: $8 Mil/Yr The Ravens paid Yanda $8 Mil per year for 4 years, will most likely allow Osemele to test the Free Agent Market Osemele could be the best power OLG in football. Team him with Linder and the Jags could have the best OG in football The Jags need to open holes for the running game and Zane Beadles is just not cutting it. Trade Zane Beadles for a RD 6 draft pick to get something for him in compensation rather than releasing him 4. Dwayne Allen - TE - Colts - 6'3" 265 Lbs - 26 in 2016 - Contract: $5 Mil/Yr 2015 Stats: 9 Games: 12 Receptions - 1 TD 2014 Stats: 13 Games: 29 Receptions - 8 TD Red Zone target - good inline blocker to compliment Julius Thomas at the TE position Replacement for Marcedes Lewis.
Only thing I disagree with is the writing of the article. It's not a sudden problem. I've been saying all year that Denver is about to enter cap hell because they spent carelessly in their pursuit of getting Peyton one more ring. It's not without consequences and they're coming fast. Jacksonville learned that in our early years and that's why we have spent very carefully.
I would be stoked if we could snag Von and put him on this defense and it's not as crazy as some people think it is |
