Terrible officiating

#21

the league doesn't want us to win. It's not good business if Blake Bortles and the Jaguars win the AFC South instead of Andrew Luck and the Colts or Heisman winning rookie Marcus Mariota and the Tennessee Titans.

The officiating was awful and biased against the Jags.  In spite of that, I thought the Jags outplayed the Jets for the most part and should have won but for the four turnovers.  We're going to continue to lose until we can learn to take better care of the ball.

I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

Quote:Walters catch and Marshall TD were the only bad calls

There were plenty of missed calls.

Quote:So it wasn't just me today right? The Walter's non-catch, the multiple non called PI's. The Brandon Marshall push off and subsequent ball on the ground. You know its bad when the commentators are on the Jags side!

I never say this, go ahead and research my comments but the refs were def. against the Jaguars.  So many flags that shouldve been thrown against the Jets that werent ( just to name a few how about the big boy that kneed QB Blake Bortles when he had sled out of bounds for like what seemed five minutes and he couldnt stop himself from walking into him... seriously no flag why)?  The pass interference that wasnt thrown that shouldve been, the clear catch by Bryan Walters that was challenged & they even messed up (which I really think was intenionally done).  I dont know how these refs get to keep their job when the fix seemed in... it was really obivious...

That being said it didnt change the fact that the Jaguars again made so many mistakes (turnovers, penalties) that really shot themselves in the foot....

the oline couldnt pass block to save their lives.. cann messing up and whomever came in for Zane Beadles stunk too..

agreed, ive watched other games where the refs were terrible, but this game was different it truly felt as if they were rooting for the Jets.. i felt like it was rigged.

To me it was like hey jets we got your back.

Refs are [BAD WORD REMOVED] pathetic.

That one was rather blatant.

This game did seem a little one-sided, however, I've felt that in most games the bad calls have gone both ways. The Jaguars have had their own share of bad calls going their way this season.

Yup Trent Green was going off on the officials and he is non bias, it was awful, I knew once a review is close and it goes to the NY NFL office they are not gonna give us the call.

Even the Ivory TD, his butt was on the ground before he stretched the ball over.

Quote:It was terrible. The obvious challenges, the hold call on Parnell, the non-call on the muggings. Just bad. I can't say it is why we lost though.
I am not sure how any fan of the game could disagree with any of this. The Parnell holding call late in the game was terrible. Ref bought the acting job. He was in a terrible position to call that. The white hat was on the left hand side of the offense outside of the RT and made that call with Parnell's back to him. Terrible. He saw arms go up and threw it.

I can only think of one bad call that went our way this season.

Quote:Yes, the officiating was bad, for some reason the Jets secondary was allowed to get away with mugging. The Jaguars weren't getting any help, but if they'd just stop [BAD WORD REMOVED] their own bed they'd have a realistic shot at winning games like that in spite of the officiating. A great coach like Belichick would have this roster way out ahead in the AFCS this season.
I dont buy that Belichick would have us that much better, we are still a young team, and BB still has not won anything  without Tom Brady.

The terrible PI that wasn't PI after the NO call PI against the Bills?

That was owed to us lol

Belicheat isn't afraid to bench the right people though.

I'll give him that...

Every week the game plan for NE changes...

He's a master at beating you how he wants. 100 passes, 100 runs, 3 TEs, 5 WR, whatever it takes that day.

I'm not sure which was the worst call of the day.

The previously mentioned Knee delivered to Bortles out of bounds on a slide (double whammy?) in which you can see the Ref actually tell the defender "Good job"?  That's the one that sticks out the most because the Ref basically congratulated him for it.

The no call on PI as Julius got mugged in the endzone?

The no call on PI as Robinson was getting tackled as he made the catch up the middle?

The Parnell "Holding" call?

The Marshall Push Off followed by Non-catch?

The Walters obvious catch with 2 feet down, reviewed, still not a catch?

I've noticed the last few weeks the commentators are making more and more comments about the bad calls going against us.  Even they can't believe what they are seeing.  They seemed almost incredulous at the explanations given by the "expert".

It's been bad, there's no doubt.  I really don't want to believe it's rigged though.

Is there anyway Khan or a member of the organization call up the league office to complain that these calls look so blatant.

actually, yes. You can put in proper complaints which will be reviewed. Refs are graded on their jobs too, too many missed or blown calls and they get sat as well.

Khan and Gus can ask the league, they'll review and give an apology or explanation.

Just aren't allowed to complain in the press I guess.

Yeah you aren't allowed to use the press in your complaints.  At least your not suppose to do that.  The Jaguars should all check their wallets, they were mugged old school NY style.

Quote:I have never in my life said that I thought an officiating crew looked biased until right now. A ref laughing at Gus after the Walters review was sickening.

We still had multiple opportunities to win despite the officiating.

I have to agree. My favorite part was the impromptu ref meeting for 3 minutes allowing the Jets to see 15 replays and decide whether to challenge a play or not. That was nice of them.
